Hello boys and girls and welcome to Let's Get Motivated - April 2019

This thread is too get us motivated each month into finishing projects that we have on the go, the rules are fairly simple.

At the start of the month post what you intend to try and finish this month, it can be models/terrain/conversions of any game type. No pressure if you don't finish anything this is for motivation nothing else.

Around the middle of the month post your progress, no images please, if you have want to share your progress with images, upload them into your blog and supply a link.

Around the end of the month post your progress, again no images, if you have finished a piece upload the images into your blog and supply a link.

The reason I don't want images in this thread is too get everyone that takes part views in their personal blog where the community can critique, etc.

You don't have a paint blog? well get one started in this forum section.

If you need advice etc post here and the community will try and answer.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone share their progress

I just started with Lizardmen and so have a swathe of unpainted new models taunting me. I want to finish my 3x5 Guards and my Eternity Warden. But it's a whole month and they are almost done, so I want to complete some other stuff as well but have zero idea what I'll actually feel like painting. Musing on it, I can probably finish the Razordon, base my Carnosaur and Saurus Warriors, and start the scenic base for the Dread Saurian. I'll probably get some more paint on other models, but I guess I'd be happy if I managed the things I've listed.
 
Finish up my palette cleanse ,16 poxwalkers I started a week ago (13/16 down)? Going to look at assembling some more terradons (I feel I have a kit of these too many I should maybe figure out ebay someday), finish off my little bolt thrower kitbash.

Need to do some priming too now the spring is on the horizon, would like to work on my salamanders and razordons this spring. If i can ever come up with colours I like on the razordons, they're usually so drab. Feel like they need something brighter and more don't mess with me....

Oh and maybe post some pics to my paintblog from my recent painting...

Ps Right I also have some paints from foundry I want to try.

Back in the game and hobby after a year's pause, this couldn't be better fitting for me :) And I'll need your advice ;)

Goals of the month are :
Paint 5-6 skinks and/or saurus from my blood Bowl conversions that will serve as a palette to select a colour scheme for my seraphon army.

Find a theme for a piece of terrain to build. My local store is holding a terrain contest this month and I'd like to present an entry.

So if you generals here have any suggestion for a pale/light coloured seraphon scheme, I'd be happy if you shared your thoughts and a link (no pics in this thread if I read it right). I'm not very keen on the GW blue myself, or of too vibrant reds and greens.

Similarly if you have an idea for a piece of terrain that is not too big and seraphon themed I'd appreciate your input. I've been toying with the idea of a birthing pool of old, but it's ambitious as my water skills are nigh inexistant.

I have a lot of building goals:

-Build my 2k Blades of Khorne Army
-Build my additional Skinks and Rippers
-Decide on paint scheme for BoK army. I'm not the biggest fan of the normal Red and Gold/Bronze.
 
Finishing up some very bright chameleon skinks then maybe onto Elucia Vhane, weather tomorrow looks good for primeing....
 
Oh I did finish my chameleon skinks and vhaine and emptied all my primer on 5 batches of models and 2 silly chairs and 3 vox shamblers and if I'm keep at it one hullbreaker by the end of the month tomorrow. Don't let life get you down stay motivated everyone May is another month :D
 
Was hoping to get more done - but proud of my Astrolith (haven’t done seraphim for a little while now) half painted my EOTG’s and sunblood - hopefully get them done soon, then back to a few gitz/slyvaneth and chaos beasts :S
 
Yesterday i got some work in... i dropped the batch painting, because of all the details.

X complete an unit of 10 Saurus Warriors: I nearly have 1 Saurus Warrior done... and the rest of the unit is at 70%
X make real progress on Carnosaur: just like last month... did not even touch him, o wait... i did... because he stood in the way :/

Next month hope for better results...
