AoS NEW *rumor*

I watched till end of the first round. Then turned it off. It was too painfull to watch. The list was agonizing. He didnt bring a command trait. So he said he didnt care and rolled a d3 for it and got the arcane one. He didnt use the dispells from the slann. And didnt want to summon this game.... What the Heck!!! And the tactics where really bad! Later I checked back to see if they finish already, and heard commentator say that Seraphon could have already decided the game on T2 with burning the objectives. It seems they just wanted a battle for shits and giggles. Maybe they just dont wanted a competative feel on the stream. Aos is for all. But it really seemd the player didnt understand Serpahon at all. And with a GW player not understanding Serpahon, my last hopes of a release at adepticon where gone.

Sorry for the rant. But the coldblooded deserve much more love than this mocking.
 
Feels bad man - as some of you already mentioned the Battle really wasn't a lot of fun to watch and then nothing on the horizon for Seraphon after getting up this morning.

On a bit of a side note I’d like to point out how very slann\skink this thread is. Look at all of us trying to divine releases based off whatever we can find a hint of meaning in.
 
why is a box with slaanesh vs seraphon not an option? would fit in the "seraphon fights the caos"

They already announced a box of gloomspite vs Sylvaneth with their mushrooms vs trees teaser. I doubt they'l announce 2 of em that close together, even if they've been pumping out more and more boxed sets lately.

I saw that - it would absolutely typical if Sylvaneth vermin got new units in that battlebox while a certain far more awesome army appears to get none (although according to TGA the GW staff remain elusive on news of Gotrek appearing as a model, so that may still happen and they just haven't teased everything in the new tome yet). Also I think it would have been far more fun if it had been Gloomspite vs Dispossessed as it would bring back memories of Skull Pass and explain all the Dwarf masonry on the Gloomspite models, but you can't have everything.

As for Seraphon, I think I might know what GW might be up to - they're giving all 4 main Chaos God factions a tome first, and will then bring in a lore event where the Seraphon absolutely pour down from the stars to renew the fight against Chaos and will release a new tome to make the army especially good at wrecking Chaos, as the Seraphon are certainly anti-Chaos in lore.
 
Well i have been saving money for a seraphon release, might go spend it somewhere other than GW.

I am a bit worried about "every GA getting at least one battletome" statement. Hope, this was not about order. Anyway, looks like Sylvaneth are next. And there are still rumors about ogors.

I do hope that they won't double down on those bonusses against specific units. It's thematic and all but the moment you can't trigger those bonusses they become terrible as you're still paying points for having them. At least in terms of build up and fluff it'd be a nice way of introducing them.
 
I'm not sure what to say really I've never felt anger about the hobby before in the 9 years I've been playing. Not sure why I'm angry I guess I hyped up too much that they were coming soon. What with the rumours and all the things pointing to a seraphon release.

Who knows maybe we are getting a decent release with new models. Remember that rumour years ago about Carno cav

Who even takes that many skinks with the shields and clubs anyway? You don't even get any horde bonuses for melee if I recall correctly?

I seriously don't know what those guys were thinking. That list was horrible.

Maybe they really wanted to make it look like a game for fun, and/or Chaos was meant to win.
 
I'm not sure what I am more disappointed about, that list or nothing new for us at Adepticon.

I was watching the game and started to worry when they announced the list but carried on watching but when the Seraphon player didn't even attempt to dispel, it was clear he didn't know what he was doing. I had been looking forward to seeing someone else play because Seraphon isn't seen on many batreps but I had stop watching after 10 minutes.

As for new models/battletome/anything at Adepticon... hmmm Was really hoping for a little bit of something, as far as I can tell outside of the core game of AoS and using an Oldblood or Starpriest for Warhammer Quest we have no presence in any of the side games, Blood Bowl, Underworld, Champions and now Warcry. I certainly don't begrudge Fyreslayers or Slaanesh getting updates since they were badly in need, though I haven't seen any new models for Fyreslayers so they still look at bit of a one dimensional army to me, but just a little bit of love or a nod would have been nice. All we saw was a load of unpainted models in the 50 shades teaser.

I'm sure we will get something at some point but for now I'm just going to go back and contemplate the cosmos... ribbit
