Thanks, I defiantly see what you mean about the paint on the stegadon and skink arms, I painted the stegadon when I was newer to the hobby. It’s not to much of an issue though as I planned to come back to the stegadon and do a wash and maybe a highlight on the places were it’s necessary, I also want to add a small hexoatl symbol on its back ( as all my models have a faction symbol, stegadon=hexoatl,bastiladon=itza,skinks=Itza) and do a bit of clean up where the wash has pooled on his horns. The main reason the skinks coat is quite thick Is due to the fact I am painting over a layer I did when I didn’t have as much experience this won’t be a problem for the other half of the skinks as they weren’t done.

I've had the exact same idea about a week ago and this is the result. And yesterday I remembered I do have a spare skink oracle from the troglodon kit, which led to me wanting to bite my own a*s XD
But then I started to convert him to a skink priest - all's well, that ends well.
Skink astrolith bearer parts are:
Head from skink ripperdactyl alpha,
Body, feathers, arms and legs of a skink starpriest, Standard pole from him as well,
Standard upper parts of the ark of sotek bits of the bastiladon kit and bits of the Ripperdactyls,
Greenstuff by Greenstuffworld.com (since it is waayy cheaper than GW ;))
Pebble from italy (vacation.. Plz do not report me to the authorities!)

It's not yet finished. The Greenstuff on the pole is a WIP snake (primarily to stabilize the whole thing and keep it from toppeling over. Without it, the staff snapped from the arm when the miniature fell down yesterday).

hypothetically speaking, Imagine of all the second generation slann got together and brought like 500 revefication crystals with them to some holy site such a Gwakmol crater and had some kroxigors bring lord kroaks remains to the center and all of them enacted a great ritual bring him back to life, that would be pretty cool.

Or. if a lone skink was in the vault of itza and under some weird circumstances found himself lost and at a vault door. as he manages to figure out the code and it opens revealing loads of unexplored passages and in a small chamber at the end of the corridor lies a first generation slann in a deathly state of meditation and he is like the sole reason the great vortex is still going. - either of these stories would be the back story for the slann/lord kroak leading my army
 
I have 15 pounds to spend what do you guys reckon I get out of these,
My current army, 1 EOTG, 45 skinks, 2 saurus scar vets, 1 skink chief, 1 skink star priest, 1 slann, 1 salamander, 2 bastiladons that are going to be magnetized for both types.

option 1 - chameleon skinks x 5
option 2 - saurus astrolith bearer
option 3 - razerdon/salamander x 1
option 4 - skink priest
option 5 - eternity wardern

I'm going to experiment with the water effects a bit more on the first one, although I might not even get these guys done until Sunday as the bases I ordered are coming tomorrow and I might want to do some of them. ->( see what I mean about some already having a base coat that I go over)

The way I did my water effects was to paint it blue and then give it several coats of varnish so it has a ‘sheen’ to it. I don’t know if that will work for yours?
 
A nice technique but I Ordered this swampy water effects thing its kinda like a gel that drys nice and clean. talking
about orders my stuff just arrived! IMG_3796.jpeg :D I got some mushrooms which will add a lot of variation to the swamp bases and it also means I don't have to use as many ferns
