GW News: LAS VEGAS OPEN 2025

Wow... that bad, huh? :hilarious:

Yup. Don't know why but I just don't like their goody-goody high-and-mighty angelic host nonsense. Never have - compare that to the Ultramarines who are more like space Romans who save poncing around and actually get sh*t done and there's not really that much contest.

Not a fan. Looks like he just shit out a rock.

:hilarious:

:vomit:

Sorry, but I just can't stand Sanguinius and the Blood Angels. My least favourite chapter by far. Blood Angels to me are what Sigmarines are to @NIGHTBRINGER :wtf:

We are planning an apocalypse game based on the Devastation of Baal. 8000 SM points vs 12.000 nids.
A friend of mine (the ones that planned the thing) will play BA, while i will be a part of the rescue UM team.
For once, i don't mind to lose. :p

Well with 12,000 points of Tyranids to 8000 points worth of Marines, that should be a pretty easy win for the swarms of the Hive Mind...

Well, it is meant to give that feeling of doom, and fight against an overwhelming swarm of men-eaters bugs.

the battlefield will be 120" long and 48" wide, with 36" of no man's land.

SM will have for free: outer fortifications (2 bunkers and trenches), inner fortifications (Aegis defence, 2 Bastions)

Nids will have first turn (but SM will do a bombardment of their lines at the beginning); cannot field no more than 4 swarlords and have no more than 8 units in deep strike. DS will not be possible within the inner fortification. They have 5 turns to kill Dante or it will be a human victory.
Hive Fleet leviathan, so they won't be faster as could be a kraken fleet.
No man's land is filled with debris, that give a -1 to move, run and charge.

And 4000 pts of the defenders will be Ultramarines (me and another player). 4000 points of shooting smurfs supported by that broken Guilliman are no joke.

We'll see, i just hope it will be a fun game.

I'm pretty sure they tried to do an angelic pose like archangel Michael.

Not like he needed more religious symbolism in his design.

His model looks nice, but there is something a little weird about it and i can't quite pin point what it is though. It might just be the angle of the photo but i do remember how all the previous Primarch models looked underwhelming at first glance, but they ended up being great looking once you saw the whole miniature.

Yep, I recognize him immediately.

I think i know what is "wrong" in his pose.
he seems to be a part of a diorama (as the picture you've posted), while he's just a stand alone figure.
His eyes are fixed toward an enemy that should be lying under him, but there's no one.
Compare him to Guilliman, Marneus or Magnus… all miniatures that look at the enemy in front of them. You put them on the battlefield and they are right, they are leading their army in a natural way.
You field this guy and it's like "hey, what are you looking at? the enemy is there!"

That and his arms and legs I think. They are at an odd angle which doesn’t seem to quite fit the dynamic pose they seem to be aiming for. Still, I’m sure it will look better with the Diorama base and 360 view

I think i know why he looks like that, he will be sold with a special Diorama base that i will almost bet on has an enemy, maybe a bloodthirster, on it.
But you are right, his eyes are focused on something that isn't there.

I agree, legs seem off from this angle.

Maybe the model would make more sense if there was a hapless victim at his feat (i.e. in the direct path of his sword)

I'd venture a guess that it is the rock going up his bung hole! :hilarious:

Also the way he is holding the sword.
Not just that, but it also feels like his Wings & hair are positioned wrong. His hair indicates he's quickly coming down, but the way he's holding is Wings isn't consistent with a dive (unless they're broken and are just flapping behind him I guess)

A version of sanguinius that doesn't look weird as hell. The spear instead of a sword helps a lot to be honest, as well as the demon being stabbed.
