Of course cats can be loyal too!
I admit it isn't as strong as with dogs, but there are enough stories about cats staying with their dead owners and cats attacking dogs that threaten little kids that you just can't say they have no loyalty.

Dogs defend their family. Cats defend their property.

The Lion King is incredibly overrated. That’s why.

If you were between 8 and 14 when the Lion King came out, it is the standard for nostalgic happiness forever.

I want to know where this data is from. Personally, I'm a dog person, but the internet suggests that more people at least like looking at cats.

In the Internet age, there are LOTS of memes and videos about dogs but cat footage outnumbers dogs by a lot. Before the Internet, dogs generally got more references in media via literature, paintings, movies, TV, comics, etc.

It was a total flip of what it is now.

It's because dogs have value for what they do. Cats have value for what they are. With the proliferation of photos and memes (still images) cats dominate.
