My old dog wouldn't hurt anyone who entered the house, but if they tried to touch one of us... :eek:

For a dog you can become God. A leader that is so powerful and clever and superior in every conceivable way that they completely submit and will do everything for you, even stuff against their most basic instincts. As long as their owner is there and strong enough they can switch off their own will.

I am not saying that's bad, I respect and like dogs and I am impressed by their loyalty. But personally I prefer how cats tend to stay independent creatures with a fully developed own will.

This is why I like dogs more. I don't want a pet that can think. I want a pet that unthinkingly obeys my commands.
I don't want a pet that loves me- I want a pet that serves!!!
I don't want a pet with a personality! I want a pet that mindlessly mirrors my personality!

The same goes for my wife!!!

Ah well, as you don’t seem to have seen Blackadder I’ll warn you right away that he’s a lazy, greedy, selfish sod. Much like Han Solo when you first see him in Episode IV. Like Han Blackadder is arrogant, sleazy and always likes to do things with the least effort and danger to himself possible - but that is what makes him such a great comedy character, and shows how talented Rowan Atkinson is. He can play a Jar Jar style character (Mr Bean) and a Han Solo type character (Blackadder) both very well.

I know it’s not dead mate, I’m one of the few who still actively believes it isn’t dead - I was just saying that GW killed off the Fantasy world, which is true in their lore, although I generally ignore GW’s lore anyway when it doesn’t suit me. And you don’t need to go so low as to using a Lion King quote to get me to change my mind.

On the other hand they are both not very bright and they produce slapstick humour. Another is Frank Spencer, another British comedy character from Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em.

Don’t get me wrong, I find both funny. I was just stating a fact.

But Mr. Bean is loved and enjoyed by most, while Jar Jar is reviled and hated by most. So while they both play comedic roles, their execution of said role could not be more different.

The Lion King is great! Although I should not be surprised that you don't like it, we seem to have opposite tastes in just about everything.

Surely there must be some common ground we can find... The Shawshank Redemption perhaps?
