Hello boys and girls and welcome to Let's Get Motivated - December 2018

This thread is too get us motivated each month into finishing projects that we have on the go, the rules are fairly simple.

At the start of the month post what you intend to try and finish this month, it can be models/terrain/conversions of any game type. No pressure if you don't finish anything this is for motivation nothing else.

Around the middle of the month post your progress, no images please, if you have want to share your progress with images, upload them into your blog and supply a link.

Around the end of the month post your progress, again no images, if you have finished a piece upload the images into your blog and supply a link.

The reason I don't want images in this thread is too get everyone that takes part views in their personal blog where the community can critique, etc.

You don't have a paint blog? well get one started in this forum section.

If you need advice etc post here and the community will try and answer.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone share their progress

Note: Previous months can be found in the vault http://www.lustria-online.com/forums/the-vault.40/

Cheers Crowsfoot

Work on my backless Stegadon...

Work on my winged Giant.

Try to get my thumb working again and finish _anything_ in December.
IF it works....
:sorry:
What happened to your thumb @Aginor ? If you told the story somewhere :lurking: I missed it.

But anyways what ^ he said: finish anything.

There’s a neglected, dust covered Chaos Army that needs rescuing. Maybe build-paint a spawn for it.

Sprained my thumb doing sport, so I am wearing a brace. Which is not helpful for painting unfortunately. Might take two or three weeks.

Been a while since I got to contribute to one of these threads!
- finish current batch of 27 skinks (17 need basing, 10 need painting and basing)
- finish 5 chaos knights, already primed and based
- finish a second unit of saurus warriors (9 to go, painting and basing)
-hopefully a bit of building / terrain as well

I also have the seraphon battleforce, my first stegadon and a slann coming in the mail, so this might all turn out to be lies when I excitedly dig into the new kits.

Hoping to finish up my ~60 saurus warriors. Currently they are base coated and in need of shading, highlighting, and basing.

My second goal is not to get too distracted with 40k :) Those new Chapter Approved rumors and Calgar + honor guard models are pulling my focus!

Hello, it's Croco.

My crafting table is currently taken up by perler bead sprites from Mario RPG. I have Mario and Geno completed currently. But after that I hope to paint a weird bear/rat miniature in a toga as a Christmas present. When the weather is nice I'll prime some other miniatures including great grey wolf Sif from the new dark souls board game expansion. Might never play that game but I definitely wanted a big wolf with a sword in its mouth.

This month will be fun.

Trying to convert some skinks to chameleon skinks. Posted the first one earlier today and got some great feedback. Looking forward to converting and painting the rest of them. Besides that I have 50 normal skinks to paint, not looking forward to doing that.

I also bought some stuff second hand; bastiladon and 2 razordons are painted good enough, only have to paint the handlers put them on some new bases. The deal included three ripperdactyls that I'm going to redo.

Will post photos of my newly completed Gor-Rok and OOP Skink Priest.

Hard at work on more OOP models including Saurus Oldbloods on foot and Skink Chiefs.

Still procrastinating on 40 Clanrats. :P Kind of preferring to just stick to building my Lizardmen collection up.

Not going to get to my goal. Didn't get enough done before I left today for Vacation.

On the plus side I have a plan for January, including a commission and my imperal knight.

I also have a large portion of my previously painted imperial forces in a 6-7 day paint strip jar. I've decided to standardize and change up some army wide paint jobs.

The only figs that I'm simply transferring to new bases are my adeptus custodes.

I've also decided to merge, conglomerate, and start anew as far as blogs are concerned. On Jan 1 I will be opening my 2019 blog, to close the last day of December next year.

Seems like you are a busy man!

Those will be a challenge. That structure makes painting definitely not easy.
I would think about thinning down some milliput and seeing if you can't brush those surfaces smooth.
