Though Slaanesh doesn't have its own book it does have allegiance abilities, summoning rules & more such spread out over the various GHB and such. The only thing i'm not sure about is battalions. It also has a surprising amount of unit variety (better than for example the Fyreslayers). Plus, all of chaos can ally with slaves of darkness for some bulking out of the faction. All they actually miss is a book I suppose.

They feel like they're in a surprisingly decent place. Especially when you take into account that as a faction slaanesh has been basicly shattered and is fairly minor.
 
Well here is my annual comment so you know I haven't kicked the bucket (yet)!

I'm glad to see that the proper Beastmen are coming back! and with that, an awesome SC! Ghorgon would make me want to main that Chaos army.

I'm a sucker for beast-looking people. Nothing can top our beloved Lizardmen, but still.
 
I just saw the news on the GW community site, and it seems Slaanesh is probably getting a major release?

sigh… so much chaos all of a sudden.. what is it with GW and doing entire factions at once. It's been ages since destruction got anything, and apart from the SCE Order hasn't gotten much attention in a while either.

I saw it too and am really hoping it's not and that it's something else to do with Slaanesh. Moonclan should come before Slaanesh at all costs - Destruction needs more love than Chaos at this point and I was expecting Slaanesh to come out next year after Darkoath.

You forget that Order had Daughters of Khaine and then Idoneth which were both Order just before 2nd Edition was released. I was just hoping GW would follow the trail of the Harbingers first and then do Slaanesh. I really don't like Slaanesh that much (although even Slaanesh is preferable to Nurgle in my view) and I would have thought GW could have done something more interesting after Beastmen.

Daughters of Khaine and idoneth feel like ages ago though. We've had an entire death overhaul since & we're now apparently doing like half of chaos in one go with slaanesh the beastmen & darkoath (skaven next?)

Daughters of Khaine and Idoneth were in the middle of the Death overhaul, between Legions of Nagash and Nighthaunt, and it is unconfirmed on whether Darkoath will be alongside Beastmen and Slaanesh - I’m personally hoping that Moonclan will at least be put between them to give non-Chaos players some breathing space. Skaven would be nice as I play Skaven in Fantasy - in fact I would have preferred Skaven over Slaanesh. They could have postponed Forces of Slaanesh for at least another year for all I care about them.

I like that voice for Trazyn, it’s like he’s a parody of a Victorian English Gentleman, as of course many gentlemen in those days collected stuffed animals and birds like Trazyn collects stuffed humans and Eldar. I’m really pleased that they put not only a non-Imperium or Chaos faction as the protagonist for the trailer but Necrons to boot - my joint favourite race with Tyranids.

Mm, feels longer ago. It wasn't in between Nagash & the nighthaunt if I remember correctly. Wasn't it just at the very start of malign portents? WHich isn't so much in between death as just that the event surrounding death started of with some other stuff.

Skaven I wouldn't mind to be honest since they're currently such a mess. It's more that I think they sould spread out the love a tad. Help the "older" factions keep up with the powercreep, and just generally give them some love.
