Hey guys, here are 2 short reports about my new list that made me lose 2 friends within an hour.

Enjoy :)

Both games where 2k, first against Nighthaunt, the other SCE

My list was

Slann
-General
-Great Rememberer

Kroak

Astrolith Bearer
-Lens of Refraction

3x Engine of the Gods

3x10 Skinks
3x Ripperdactyls

BWV
Gogs


Pretty hard list, as i was trying out some nasty stuff for future tournaments, my opponents knew my list before they wrote theirs, i even recommended them to use the lens of refraction to counter Kroak

But they didn't listen....

First game vs Nighhaunt

Lady Oleander
Big Ghost on Horse
2 Smaller Ghost Heroes

Mournghul
A Unit of 6 Spirit Hosts
2 Units of Banshees

2 more big units of Smaller Ghosts (looked like reapers)

He went first moved forward his army, one of the big reaper units dropped 9 inch away from my slann, Kroak, astrolith

He rolled an eleven on the charge which allowed this Ghosts to attack all my heroes twice before i Could even do anything about it

Besides saving Rolls

Slann and astrolith survived with 1 wound each

My turn

Kroak started to explode in his whole army, only one time as i didnt rolled high enough for the spell one time and he dispelled another try so nothing serious here

My Engines on the other hand...
One healed my slann, the other 2 summoned new rippers! Which gave me a total of 9 rippers and 3 Frogs!

I killed the big reaper Unit and one of bis heroes with my rippers, took nothing serious in return

We rolled for initative, i won the Double turn

Kroak did his thing put some nice MW in his whole army

First Engine put 6 MW on lady Oleander killing her, second engine summoned another 3 rippers, third Engine rolled 18!

Thats where he decided to end the game as i had 12 rippers with Double Attacks and movement

Some melee units

He went First, moved towards me and ends his turn

I Ported Kroak in Front of his army, he could only dispel 2 spells, which he failed, Kroak killed all his heroes

Game over

Kroak is nice when not facing the lens
I Roll like a God for Engines
Both of them dont want to play against this list anymore
 
Well, you're packing some of our strongest / most broken combo all together in a single list.
It's not a matter of knowing your list beforehand.. it's a matter of knowing what to do against it and having the right models / tools.
 
Yeah thats right, thats why i recommended the Lens of Refraction to my opponents, i even told them they can choose it in my First hero Phase
 
yep, they were ineffective sparring partner, from that pov. :p

But yeah, brutal list
 
What is Lens of Refraction doing? Why is this a Kroak counter?

To my knowledge the summoned rippers do not spawn a new toad.
 
The Toad is Placed in your First hero Phase, 1 per Unit of rippers, doesn't say when (beginning or end)

As i had 3 units of rippers in my First hero Phase (as Engines summon in the hero phase) we should be able to Place Frogs then

Rippers summoned in Later hero phases or summoned by the slann (as those come at the end of the movement Phase) should Not generate toads
 
Wow.. I always placed it pre-game. That is something good to know.

Yeah, it's very important that if you plan to summon rippers, you must be sure to have at least 1 unit of them in your first turn, to place the toad.
 
A great example of what a nasty seraphon list can do. Love to see more of these!
 
What’s your general tactic against Nagash with this list? Just curious as I’m looking to build a 2k tourney list and I had come up with something similar but haven’t play tested it. Do you rely on Kroak to blast units and summon with the slan and EOTG?
