AoS Pure 2k Kroak cheese list

In the GW Errata they release it states you can only generate 1 additional attack like it used to be. So rippers don't get endless attacks.

Both the Generals Handbook errata and the Seraphon errata make no mention of that, from what I can see. Which errata are you talking about?

I'll have to retract my previous statement. The wording is on generating extra attacks but the Rippers scroll says generate another hit roll. GW will have to FAQ that.

Ssssh...nobody say anything and we might get away with it! Let everyone point fingers at those Tzeentch cheats...(ho ho ho)
;)

"Lastly, any extra attacks, hit rolls or wound rolls gained by the use of an ability cannot themselves generate extra attacks, hit rolls or wound rolls. For example, if a hit roll of 6 or more allows you to make 1 extra attack, this extra attack could not generate further attacks should you roll another 6+."

The Rules affect the Hit Rolls too so i guess there is still no endless cycling

There is, because there is also a rule that says that warscrolls override core rules.

Yeah in the same section (abilities)

Soo is it because of the "carry on..." Part?

Otherwise Still doesn't make sense

First it says warscrolls override Core rules then it says Attacks and so on generated by abilities can't generate additional attacks and so on

The Ripperdactyl's ability to generate continuous attacks is on their warscroll. The rule stating that attacks cannot be generated indefinitely is in the core rules, which is overriden by warscrolls.

The line in the core rules targets other abilities (e.g. Scar-Veteran on Carnosaur's command ability) in which it is not explicitly stated whether attacks generated on a 6+ can generate further attacks on another 6+

I know it is on the warscroll but continual hits with rippers is pretty silly. They only cost 140pts...and with only the 1 extra attack generated are still an incredibly powerful unit. I honestly wish we weren't having this discussion and that people weren't pushing to play them that way. Its incredibly OP and completely unnecessary. It makes non-seraphon people hate rippers and give you crap every time they are put on the table.

I hope GW FAQs this ASAP.

Gotta disagree with you there a little bit based on two facts: the first being dice rolls are all chance, sure it can get dirty fast, butyou still have to roll and even with rerolls active you have the possibility of whiffing the attack all together. The second is that a lot of Seraphon stuff is old and can be outclassed pretty easy by some of the new stuff. I had my Kroak taken out yesterday before he could even summon because the Stormcast’s new unit it shot him over 35 inches with multiple attacks at rend -1 and -2 doing D3 damage each.
Seraphon benefits greatly from 2.0 but sometimes you have to rely on some silly stuff in order to keep up with the ever evolving units.

Yup, in the games I’ve used them in I’ve really only once had the “again...and again....woah! And again...and again! Hey, gimme that warscroll” type play of them. It’s funny when it happens but dice rolls dictate. It’s not a given.

Usually it’s fairly flat. (Edit: especially against a warpseer verminlord, who neuters them)

I also agree it is a broken mechanic, even though it may or may not be really strong.

I still think that playing with the rules - even if they are dumb - is the right thing to do.
GW is aware and they can change the warscroll any time if they see it as necessary.
