Fair enough, I wouldn't want to be associated much with a film that allows its main characters to survive in space without oxygen either, although I was more associating you with Luke than Episode VIII...

If it had been a normal person and not a force user I would actually agree. I don't like the scene either but that's the least of the problems IMO.

On the contrary, it improved my opinion of him. Much better than the whiny kid we see in 5 in that it actually gave me some laughs.

Like usual... most fans would disagree with you. The backlash following The Last Jedi is evidence of that (and is likely a contributing factor to the failure of Solo). You are of course entitled to your opinion no matter how far it deviates from that of the hardcore fanbase. Even Mark Hamill dislikes the direction they took with Luke.
