AoS Quick question regarding Oldblood on Carnosaur Command Ability

My friend and I have been debating about the Oldblood on Carnosaur command ability 'Ancient Warlord'.

He seems to think (and could be correct! I'm new to this game) that when it's cast on itself, it can only be applied to the sunstone spear, not the clawed forelimbs. Which is a much better option for the buff if it is possible!

Can anyone confirm for me? Can it be applied to literally any weapon, both missile and melee, or is it only applied to weapons that are held by a creature i.e. clubs, spears, blades.

He probably read it in the Generals Handbook 2017, it is an error in the English version, they mixed up "traits" and "abilities".
Command abilities can be used on all weapons. Command traits and artefacts cannot be used on weapons of the mount.

So yeah the Oldblood can buff the claws.

It is in the errata somewhere.

I’m pretty sure Most people use the buff to get two more attacks with the carnosaur’s jaws.

Yeah, most likely. More attacks, and rend.

I do it on the jaws 99% of the time... unless its fighting a monster. then its on claws. only need 2 of the 4 hits to connect to make the jaws hit on 2+... and ill take 5 attacks at 2+ over 7 attacks at 4+ any day... unless im just bad at math lol
