Ideas for a Conversion

So I saw the new Morathi model with the serpent body and got to thinking that could make for a cool lizardman conversion. Does anybody have an idea of the dimensions of that model or what lizardmen bits might fit on it? I was thinking of modifying an extra troglodon head to mount on it with wings from a lord of change kit to make a big winged serpent as an avatar of Sotek but I do t want to invest in the model of the troglodon head is too small or will otherwise fit poorly.

While I understand the not investing, you could get the model and use Blu Tak to dry for things.

Most conversion projects like this don't go together flush, and will need quite a bit of constructive work with Greenstuff or other methods

Yeah if you texture up the green stuff right it will look really good and any size difference won't be that noticable.

I for one can't wait to see this if you make it!

I dont think using the new Morathi-in-her-final-form would be an easy coatl conversion without a lot of green stuff.

The model is still very new, so there aren't many good pictures out yet. And I can't find any actual conversions using this model yet.

As far as using the Lord of Change though...

, those wings would be AMAZING except for the heretical goldwork.

But again, fitting the troglodon's "neck" onto morathi's "body" is going to be tough.

On a relatively tangential note, I've had my own thoughts about doing a "Cult of Sotek"-themed conversion of a DoK temple nest warband. How I'll try to pull off such a thing, I don't know, and especially for the reasons that others have already pointed out earlier in reference to Morathi.

Just for the melusai alone, I'll need to figure something out regarding the torso. Suffice to say that using modified skink heads won't be much of a hassle with the model as is however.
