Kylo isn't even a Sith - he doesn't have a Darth name for one, and secondly the Sith died out when Darth Vader sacrificed himself to kill Darth Sidious, so in effect Qui-Gon is still right, Anakin was still the Chosen One because Anakin was the last Sith, as he didn't have a Sith Apprentice (at least not in the new Canon). Kylo is more like a Dark Side cultist, as he plans to use the Dark Side completely, with no aspects of the Light at all. The Sith still used aspects of the Light, as Darth Vader proved, and also Sidious still wanted to enforce order rather than chaos, albeit a tyrannical aspect of it. Chaos is part of the Dark Side while Order is part of the light.

He is just a Dark Jedi. That's what dark side force users were called for 20 years in Star Wars lore until everyone suddenly decided that only light side users should be called Jedi and started calling all of them Sith for no good reason.
The real Sith were an old people and they have gone extinct millennia ago.

....man I liked '90s Star Wars lore so much better...
 
I like how he is really different to most Star Wars villains in many ways.
I really want to like the character and on paper he sounds like a great idea. Also I think Adam Driver does a decent job playing him.
...but... yeah. :(

I just don't think he is well set up as being the primary villain of episode IX (unless Snoke survived or comes back somehow). He has already got beat by Rey twice.

We may yet see Snoke survive, because if he is Plagueis and he resurrected himself after being killed by Sidious, he could resurrect just as easily. Alternatively he can return as a Force spirit, as can Luke.

We may also see more of Hux and Phasma after Snoke died, which would be beneficial for their character development.
