Oh man I would have disliked that.
I like the "Rey's parents are just random guys" story SO much better. It has more dramatic depth.

I do like the actual outcome as well, I just like the fact that in that video they chose Rey to be Obi-Wan’s granddaughter rather than Luke’s daughter or something even worse.

I do agree that the fact that her parents were random people is far more original.

Yeah Rey being a Skywalker and Luke performing a "I am your father" scene would probably have been the lamest one.
At least the Kenobi thing leaves some interesting questions such as: WTF? and LOLWUT?

Agreed absolutely. Could there have been more than just love with Satine? And of course Anakin would have loved all of that, with Obi-Wan continually telling him off about his feelings for Padme.

Hmm... I am not sure what amount of time went by between Obi-Wan meeting Satine and her Death... I tend to think we would have noticed if Obi-Wan had gotten her pregnant.
If Rey would really be Obi-Wan's granddaughter I don't think Satine would be the grandmother.

Personally I like the whole "Rey's parents were nobodies" thing as well. She should be able to be a major character without being part of the Skywalker or Kenobi family. She doesn't have things handed over on a plate due to legacy. As for the Snoke thing, he could still be Darth Plaguis but revealing that would have added nothing to the story. All you knew about the Emperor beforehand the Prequels came out was that he was evil, hated the Jedi, led the Empire and had the force. You didn't need to know anything else and it's the same with Snoke. At least, that's what Rian Johnson said when I asked him about it at the BAFTA Q&A.

And don't forget that she would be fried by the Radiation! Even if she survived, she would be sooooo sick from the radiation. She'd probably get cancer.

You can also feeeze to death especially quickly in space. Leia would have probably frozen to death long before she’d get cancer.

Jokes? Like episodes 1, 2, 7, and 8???

No, jokes like episodes 5, 6 and 7.

It's a controversial opinion, but I don't mind Leia's space excursion. If she had died, it might have been better for the character, but keeping her alive was better for Carrie Fisher. Rain Johnson had the guts to not take the easy option, rather to make the most of his footage and give Carrie Fisher the proper send off, not Leia

Ewwww... that sounds like "fun". Must not have been a pretty sight.
That incident actually did scar me. I was 11 at the time. Was NOT ready to see that shit.

I also had rabbits for a while. I was...

Changed by that experience.

Something about me changed when "Dutchess" killed, ripped apart, and then ATE all four of her babies. All that was left was their little severed heads!!!!!! I don't want to sound dramatic, but I became a lot more cold since that day.

It really screwed with my 11/12 year old mind.

Yeah... I can imagine that something like that would not go over very well with most people, especially at such an early age.

Oh dear. That's absolutely NOT normal for cats. The only animals I know that do that regularly are mice, hamsters, rats and the like.
Cats do it if they notice that their kittens are ill, and they certainly do it if they die (to keep the "nest" clean). They do not usually kill healthy kittens.
Dogs do exactly the same thing btw.

But of course that's scarring. I totally understand that!
