Kit Fisto was kinda cool, sad that he died SO quickly.
Yeah, although I admit it is rather far-fetched.The one fan theory I like to entertain is the one where he survives
Yea, he didn't put up much of a fight did he?Kit Fisto was kinda cool, sad that he died SO quickly.
That scene in the movie always felt a little bit wonky. They didn't seem to put up any fight at all and fell to highly telegraphed strikes. I really wish they would have done better with that scene. The point was to show the power and skill of Sidious, but instead it just made the Jedi look incompetent. Once the 3 Jedi were eliminated however, the Sidious vs Windu fight was good.I think he tried but Palpatine was filled to the brim with the dark side and he was prepared, the Jedi clearly didn't fully understand how powerful he was.
Who would have thought he'd be strong enough to fight against four Jedi Masters at the same time?
They probably thought he would be around or a bit above Dooku's power level and two Jedi was enough for Dooku. So they sent four masters of which three IIRC were council members and three of them were pretty great lightsaber and force combatants. Fisto, Kolar and Windu all were famous duelists.
Edit:
Correction: ALL of them were council members. And Tiin was famous for his foresight into the future. Palpatine clouded his vision though, he didn't see it coming.
That is absolutely true. That scene, like many others, had such potential to be fantastic. The Prequels are full of such things that were good ideas but absolutely poorly executed.

I'd rather they not. It's not because Kit Fisto isn't a great character, but they can't keep going back to that very same well repeatedly. Darth Maul dies... no wait he doesn't. Boba Fett dies... no wait he doesn't.Well there is evidence that Kit Fisto survived, as he was taken down near the door and Mace steps over the body, but later on in the fight, the body is gone. It's probably due to it not being the most attention-to-detail filled fight, but it gives Lucasfilm an excuse to cover their mistakes and bring back a cool character, so why not?

More accurately he has been retconned to be dead. That is the case only because of Disney's decision to retcon the EU. It just depends on how much emphasis or weight you put on that ruling. He is dead in Canon, and he should be dead.
I think they had a cool setup for him in episode V, and then completely ruined him in episode VI. I've never been a big fan of him myself, but I can acknowledge that he had potential before the events that unfolded in the Return of the Jedi. Great concept but extremely poor execution!I Think Boba Fett is dead, because he was an overrated character and deserved to die.
"I think they had a cool setup for him inepisode V" The Holiday Special.

We must never speak of The Holiday Special. It is the one and only Star Wars thing I hate more than Jar Jar!"I think they had a cool setup for him inepisode V" The Holiday Special.
