Help Not so new to this. ;b

I was not expecting porn to come up when I made the search for "BBW":eek:
(I didn't know what it meant)

And I kinda like the Slann smooth :).
frogs don't really have wrinkles.

I just realized that I forgot to put a pot belly on him. Gotta get back to work!

Oh dear I am really sorry, I thought the term was common knowledge. I didn't want to porn-rickroll you!

Yeah. I realized that wasn't appropriate.

The starter kit came with an extra head crest for the Scar-vet, so I used one on a Saurus warrior to make him look more like the Sunblood he will become. I am going to use the extra Carno head crest for a shield, because it is far more impressive then the normal shield.

Thoughts and/or criticism?

Yeah I think that one will look good and easily distinguishable from the other Saurus.

Just looked through your blog (been really busy) as I like to try and keep an eye on new painters.

Paint

Although your paints are cheap they will cost you more in the long run, you wouldn't paint your car with cheap paint would you?

GW is the most expensive paint but there are other makes Army painter, Vallejo etc and they are all much better than craft paints, craft paints are fine for terrain and scenery projects.

Primer

2 thin coats are better than one thick coat, you get better detail and a stronger colour.

Shade

When you shade don't apply too much you don't want it puddling on the model

Drybrush

You want the brush to leave no paint trace on a tissue again 3 coats of drybrushing is better than one heavy coat.

Overbrushing

This is when you leave more paint on the brush than dry brushing but apply it the same, good for adding layer colours on simple models.

I will leave it there on techniques for now.

Your shield

*The good neat colours on each section

*The bad paint is too thick clogging detail

*The ugly the gritty finish will show up when you drybrush.

(* Is for the benefit of @Warden I'm pretty sure he will love the titles)

All in all you have made a great start, but a bit of advice on paints don't rush out and buy 20 pots buy one or two and build your collection slowly get the primary colours and mix them if needed.

Keep it up anf get some more pics posted ;)

Alright, I know I haven't said anything for awhile, but I have been really busy in real life. I began to cut out the troglodon head/tail parts, and I am going to do the under water thing with it (where you make both the Troglodon and the carno). I wasn't going to post any pictures, or even tell y'all about it, because I was going to enter it into @Rikard sculpting contest. I changed my mind (duh:facepalm:).
I am way to inexperienced to be sculpting a piece that size without any help or input.:bag:

So, prepare for pictures soon!

I am trying to figure out what set of Vellejo to buy. What do y'all think of this set?

I am making some muddy rivers and some brick ruins. These will be a tad small, but I plan to make some larger ones to scale.

I wanted it to look like a brick structure in the badlands. Orcs have demolished it:p.

I did similar wall pieces (straight though, but now I want to make angled ones as well). They are nice as little pieces of terrain on the table to hide behind.
I think everyone should have 4-6 of those.

It is some of the cheapest turrain you can make. I made each brick from modelling clay, and the base is a tongue compresser I cut to fit. With me, every dollar I save counts:greedy:.

I found another Chaos Spawn I made.
20180207_130101.jpg 20180207_130056.jpg I am not sure if he serves Nurgle (the body implies it) or Slaneesh (the head and neck imply it;) Also the tail that was meant to be grasping a stone looks alittle... Shall we say... Odd.) I made this one last year.

That troglodon looks promising! Only some scales missing and then you can paint it I'd say. Good work!
Also nice walls!
And this chaos thing... I tend to say Slaanesh...
