New to the fold here and trying to earn back some cool points (have been playing fyreslayers for a while until they suddenly became hip so I am changing it up!)

My first list has a bit of inspiration from Darren’s Shadowstrike list. I loved how aggressive it could be.

3x10 skinks
2x razordons
1xsalamander
1x Bastiladon
1x3 Rippers
1x6 Rippers
Skink handlers

Oh and 100 points left over for......well......you know

I may play with summoning some but any thoughts would be much apprieated!!

You could drop the Salamander and handlers and take 2 more Razordons.

I guess if you go salamanders you need to commit as the single shot is too unreliable when you could have another 2 2D6

That's exactly why I prefer Razordons.

That's exactly why I prefer Razordons.

I feel like Razordons are such low risk vs reward compared to Salamanders, it just makes them outright better for me

Is there much benefit to the skink handlers when running them?

Also on a slight separate, with Kroak on a BW, does it double his summoning range as well?

The handlers are OK but I often omit them if possible, especially when I can get reroll a from am Astrolith Bearer.

Yes, it is the spell's range so it is doubled.

Do you find the extra rend benefits them? If you summon them in it makes sense to omit, but if the are in your lines then I guess they can work?

What extra rend? You get the same abilities with summoned Razordons as with others so the extra rend for close shooting is there anyway.
Handlers just add a reroll for hits of 1 and that's not too useful.

They do work and you can use those handlers as chaff or something. But in almost any case I think the 40 points are better spent on another Razordon than on Handlers.

I rarely take Handlers except if a bataillon (like Heavenswatch or Thunderquake) forces me to do so.

Really depends on what your facing and what you want eliminating, you wouldn't send all 4 in to kill a 4 wound hero for example.
