My next tournament is coming up at the beginning of next month and I'm looking to start playing around with our allies the Storm Cast Eternals.
I do so love a Kroaknado, but do you know what's better than a Kroaknado? A Kroak/Primenado of course!
Running with this:
General-Kroak
Astrolith-Incandescent Retrices
Starpriest-Light of Dracothian
Allied Prime!
10 skinks boltspitters and shields x 3
3 Ripperdactyls
Bastiladon Solar
Shadowstrike
180 points to summon a vortex and 2 Razodons 38-44" in any direction!
20 points left for a potential triumph to boot.
Most likely dropping the prime early and using him as an artillery platform rather than a combat monster. Guaranteed 3 mortal wounds anywhere with extras from a d6" bubble plus Kroak's already ridiculous mortal wound out put should bring down characters quickly (in play testing pre ghb2 brought down a Treeman Ancient in a single turn) and hoping the Basti and the reduced strength of the Rippers and Razodons will still be enough to mop up.
I am loathe to drop my beloved Riperdactlys down to such low numbers and losing the toad while in the clouds will mean it'll be a difficult choice on whether or not to deploy them. But losing the Bastilodon would have cost me more I feel. I'm really looking forward to summoning 2 Razordons up to 44" and catching people out with their 4d6 shots at a 12" range.
EDIT:
Slight tweek, I might drop 40 points for summoning for 1 Razordon and top up a unit of Skinks to 20. That seems better perhaps..
