So me and a friend are playing a 2500 point tournament style battle and he plays Kharadron Overlords. I don't know his list very well and I'm thinking of running my Saurus Guard army against them. It's just Kharadron are different from regular Dispossesed dwarfs as I think they're a more offensive army so I may want to use a different army. I have most of the Seraphon Range at my disposal so I can always change my army list if needed.

I would expect the port that allows a Shooring phase during the HERO phase. Given the gunlines and buffs.. expect a rain. A painful, bloody rain. You are most probably rolling for a lot of saves.

Not sure if helped but !

Kharadron are VERY tough. Not sure how to beat them though since I do not know enough about them.

So if he is not using the port that aloows him to alpha strike his boats use mass ripperdactyl. He starts his deployment with modles mostly in the boats you can come in with 6 or so ripperdactyl and sround the boat. The boats have lots of wound and low armor so you should be able to tear through them. When the boats die evething inside must come out more than 3 away and if the cants they die. So depending on how good a wrap you get most the units inside will die as well.

My friend runs that sky port that allows each of his heroes to unbind a spell.

That's not too bad either, it hurts magic armies a lot.
It means that you are a bit safer from a deepstrike though, so probably something to be happy about.

Indeed, this is really effective. I discovered this without really meaning to as I was closing in to attack the Ironclad in close quarters; my opponent lost a good chunk of his army that way.

Oh, important piece of advice... KILL THE ENDRINRIGGERS BEFORE THEY GET TOO CLOSE. They are dangerous in close combat. Very, very dangerous. They tore through my Saurus Knights like a hot knife through butter.

Not my favorite choice. Too much specific and you lose many of the bonuses granted by different Sky Ports (while the unbinding part can be obtained in other ways).
You won't face things as "reroll 1s against heroes / monsters", or "treat all run rolls as 6", so it's not so bad.

Do you know if your friend plans to play a battalion?

Surrounding his boats to kill troops is brutal! He probably won't wanna be your friend after that :D
