For some reasons i'm block on some choices to fit my 2k list.

In order to make a 2k skink list, i'm planning to do something like this :
Skink Priest
Skink starPriest
Astrolith
10 skinks
40 skinks
40 skinks
Stegadon
Stegadon
3 salamandres
3 handlers
Camé
6 rippers
Shadowstrikes

But right now, i'm think : what about some diversity in my list, and what about a Saurus knights ? (which can become skinks riders easily)
So instead of the seconde stegadon and the 10 skink units, i'll put 10 Saurus knight + one oldblood on cold one.

I think, 2 stegadons is far better, much stronger, solid.
But riders have more hp, better moves and could provide some extra attacks (specialy the oldblood).
The second list looks like this :
Skink Priest
Oldblood on coldone
Skink starPriest
Astrolith
40 skinks
40 skinks
10 knights
Stegadon
3 salamandres
3 handlers
Camé
6 rippers
Shadowstrikes

I don't think the Knights are worth it except in a Firelance or as part of a Saurus army in which they get done more buffs.
The Stegadon is a mighty beast, his long range can help you snipe dangerous heroes, and his ability to command Skinks also comes in handy in a Skink army.
I would probably go for the Stegadon.

I found using a Stegadon for the first time, teleporting in, moving d6 and then charging into elites with -3 rend was very good when we lack MW output! also units of 40 skinks are invaluable, I've just bought more :D but don't rely on them as a backbone in your army to be able to kill everything!

I was thinking about Kroxies (by 6) but whithout the thunderquake thing, are they reliable ? they cost less today.
Forget about that Idea, Tp Stegs is awesome enough... :D
Of course, this one, will have some flame throwers.

Edit. 2000k was a bit too much. I don't have enough time for that. 2K should be enough. :D

does anyone tries the TP Stegadon with flamethrower ?

I probably will as soon as my Orruk playing friend has assembled all his Savage Orruk Archers to kill me with them. Teleporting the Flamodon might be a funny counter for them.

The Steggy teleport looks awesome. With two of them, you clearly need the Slann general for double tp as well!

Yeah.
If you plan to double teleport + charge with 2 stegadons, you should buff with magic just one of them:
Steggy A: mystic shield + Starlight
Steggy B: nothing

You attack firstly with B, then with A

Either that or use the second teleport for a support unit. Astrolith Bearer might be a bit risky if you don't have other units near but it could be fun. Razordons would also be an option. If the Stegadon doesn't make the charge they might protect him from the counter charge. If he does make the charge they can still provide fire support.

Or better still use the double teleport for the aggressive charging units and the summon for the supporting units! If you can work it so you're in range :D
