AoS 2k Fang of Sotek

I'm currently brainstorming some lists with the new book, and this one is the one I keep coming back to. I still feel its lacking however and Im not convinced the meta battilion is worth it. One-drop lists are REALLY nice though, and for 100 points getting some extra move to position your Bastis properly (particularly against people trying to deploy out of range) and some other minor benefits seems pretty good. Only taking a 30man unit of saurus is a little more risky, and Im almost considering dropping one basti for a stegadon and either adding more saurus or a starseer. I also have 50 points left over to summon or just add a salamander if needed.

Problem is I feel like I'm building to a meta that may not exist anymore either.

I like the list! Sunclaw is a great battalion for lots of sauruses (sauri?) Could you switch a bastiladon for a stegadon and then go with a unit of 40 saurus warriors? It'll be difficult to keep that 30 model bonus with just 30 and it'll only cost 60pts more, the impact you'd have with them all attacking would be mega; curse of fates, +1" to charge with your sunblood, you could summon them in and quite possibly get a charge. Stegadon isn't too bad, that can get itself nice and close to charge if it teleports and d6"s itself closer to the enemy.

Or maybe just throw a razordon/salamander in to clog up those spare points!

Fang of sotek is intresting ! I wanna plan a list too!! Anyway saurus are better with spear if you play a big unit! Club for your 2x10!!

Where are the skink priests at guys? We are now getting two for 160 which seems more reliable than one. If those prayers go off you are getting bubbles of re-rollable saves that to me just is so important. Thoughts?

I know the prayers are on a 4+ but if you were even to take one for 80 points now and buff with curse of fates for 3+ you will be saving a lot of wounds if positioned right

My slann knows curse of fates and spell from starpriest! Originally list got a starpriest to buff my carno! But i prefer 2 razodont more ( so i got another unit of 3 razo) . I think its better

Being already pressured for points the skink priest doesn't add enough to this list. Rerolls on the basti arent worth dropping something else and getting rerolls on 5+ saves is fairly mediocre.

I suggest to remove one scar vet carno for 4 razodonts , or 4 salamanders + handlers summon. Anyway the list can work imo! Razo gives you some shooting and you can use defensively too !
