I obviously lost a fight against autocorrect. While English is indeed not my first language, it is normally not that bad. So, not offended.
 
I have some alternatives if anyone wants to mix things up :p

Just built five of the official gw models of this. Five to go and I'm not looking forward to it at all! Resin models are terrible. Flack everywhere and cut myself twice. Definitely just converting next time.

Yeah it is strange there are no cat people in WH. As a fan of cats and cat like species (Kilrathi <3 ) I would definitely play them.

As for resin: mixed results here. I prefer plastic but in a pinch I'll take resin.

My biggest gripe with Resin (other than what you said) is the cleaning it thoroughly, and bad casts/warps.

The chap who runs my local GW says the washing of GW resin models isn't necessary... not sure. I'll report back.
 
I still recommend washing them. I discovered the paint sticks better if you wash them first. I use a bit of dish soap and an old toothbrush.

Is it ok to wash after gluing/green stuffing?
 
Not sure about the Green stuff, I'd be careful with the toothbrush there. Otherwise yes, the superglue should be waterproof when fully cured.

Absolutely. If you already assembled it you can also (carefully) wash it afterwards, but I also do that first, right after removing all the flash.
 
Thanks for the advice gang. The resin kits really discouraged me.

The releasing agent that sticks to the resin has prevented primer/paint from sticking to my Forgeworld stuff. I know Duncan had a Blood Angel "How to Paint a Rhino" video that I followed and he recommended (and showed) washing the resin pieces with warm water, soap, and a toothbrush.

I had a Razorback Lascannon Forgeworld upgrade kit that I didn't clean well enough and paint on one side of that model just didn't apply. Almost like there was an invisible barrier. Paint was repelled from it.

I just thoroughly clean all my resin items now. Haven't had any issues with paint sticking since.

I like the conversions, are they all just one skink? I bet you could make a whole bunch of these for super cheap.
