AoS 1500 point list I used vs ironjaws

First game in about a month today vs my buddies iron jaws. I took:
Eternal starhost 80
Eternity warden 140 quicksilver potion
5 guard 100
5 guard 100
5 guard 100

Shadow strike starhost 120
Skink priest 100
5 chameleon skinks 120
5 chameleon skinks 120
3 ripperdactyls 140

Scar vet on carnesaur 260 quicksilver potion, legendary fighter
5 chameleon skinks 120

This worked phenomanly well. I went first and shot his weirdboy and one of his warchanters to death before they got to do anything. The ripperdactyls killed a couple boys forcing a battleshock which removed another model. His lines were then disrupted as he had to chase down skinks running around behind his lines. I think this list works well enough i might take it to a tourney next month.
 
Exactly the build I would play against Ironjawz. Well done!

...I have to get some guards and Chameleon Skinks...

I am thinking on bringing this list to a tourney next week. However I am most preocupied about a tzeench power gamer. Also what Weapon did you give to your saurus scar veteran? This list sounds incredibly fun, those temple guards may end up getting 2+ saves with re-rolls, amazing!
 
I gave him the great blade, and the temple guard were rocking the 2+ rerollable save a couple of the turns my celestial rights rolls weren't the best.

So everything went according to plan?
I was thinking about using the skink mage cause it can dispel but the fact that on a 4+ you can re-roll save rolls of 2+ just sounds so bloody nasty! I love it!
 
Yep. I dropped behind his lines and killed the aforementioned models and disrupted his lines. We were playing gift from the heavens and i used one of the skink units to pop up on his meteor and held it for one turn while i hekf mine all game.

I see, I was thinking on using this strategy and list to Kill the enemy boss monster on turn one, in this case a lord of change. Placing some pressure on my opponent, wether to go get the skinks, the ripperdactyls or meet the incoming saurus impact.

Have you tried it without any scenarios?
 
I have in a team game and one of my opponents was Tzeentch. I killed his lord of change on my first turn with massed shooting and a ripperdactyl charge.

was he using marauder spam to keep it away from harm? What else do tzeenchian players use beside that? Lachlin I congratulate you for this super fun list.

I sort of want to see how that host looks like with your models. I havent even assembled my ripperdactyles and I would need to assemble more temple guards. Crazy stuff.
