Just saw Arch's latest video. Creative Assembly has updated their website and it featured a countdown to the official reveal of the next Total War: Warhammer game.
With a Lizard man temple in the backdrop

We're finally being represented in a video game guys. One with a large Multiplayer focus and a guaranteed Modding community too =D

184184-countdown

watch them totally screw with us, and it's the next historical Total war. Set in the renaissance era.

Sitting waiting on that the current game will come into a "complete game package" including all DLCs. Though if the next game contains Lizardmen then I most probably will not be able to sit on the sideline waiting for the cheaper version of the game.

What if Crowsfoot was to paint more and then sell the excess models to Lazy people? :)
That would kill two Skaven with one stone!
But the problem remains; video games are the Achilles heel to painting (trust me, I know from personal experience )

True, the main reason why my Praetorian Guardsmen and my Iyanden Jetbike's are unpainted because I spent FAR to much time playing video games >.>

I have a weakness of Grand Strategy titles too so I can't really jump in or out. I'm in it for the Long haul when I sit at my desk :(

I wouldn't complain if it was indeed a historical title set in meso America. However, I reckon it's far more likely that this actually is to showcase, that lizardmen and the new world, will be predominately featured as a core part of the story, in the next Warhammer game.
The current team as far as I understand are actually equal to size of the team developing the first game. This time they are in that fortunate situation that they don't need to develop an entire new game. meaning that the game will come out sooner and that they have more time for roosters and story, since the base mechanic are already in place.

Here for an interesting take on the lizards!!! :D Don't screw it up

I didn't play the first one, but this interests me...

I was interested in the first one but didn't buy it because of the lack of Lizards. Hoped for an addon.
We'll see.

Don't you worry, lizardmen will for sure, eventually, be part of the game. The developer has already stated that every faction of warhammer fantasy are sure to be in one of the three games. Luckily it looks like and also seems to be the most logically conclusion that they'll be part of this new up coming game.
Another thing which is great about this, is that it functions has a stand alone game, so if you're only intersted in playing as lizardmen, you don't need to buy both :).... however game two might be sold at about same price as the first game :/

Seeing how Creative Assembly has stated that this is the second entry in the Total War: Warhammer Trilogy It will probably be priced as a full release :/
Game one: The Old World,
Game two: Lustria/The New World
Game three: Will either be the Southlands/Araby or Nassaroch/Ulthuan

All the Minor factions will probably be releases as DLC based upon geographic relevance. Personally I'm perfectly okay with dropping £35-£40 on the Lustria game, but that's only because I don't own the original TW:W. If I had to buy both I might be pissed off...

Then again I guess we could just pick up the entire Trillogy in a future Steam Sale+All DLC for like £40 in a few years time, which would be cool.

There will be a couple of steam sales eventually, yeah :)

The general consensus of the folks on the total war forum, whom by the way thus not need to have an opinion of relevance, is that game two will feature elves and lizards, so the whole new world Ulthuan included.
What's intersting is that a lot of people seem to think that demons are more likely as the fourth race, not skaven. Again this is just puploc opinions and speculation from folks who knows just as much as every one else ;)
