AoS Options for campaigne

hi all,
I could use some advise for a campaigne i'm doing at a local store. It was meant to be to learn the game but now all players are up-to-date and we are going for 1 big final battle!
I can't dicede between 2 optoins for my army for normal units i can add and for monster choice.

I have to play the startcollect box so i have
12warriors. 8knights. 1oldblood carno.

What i can add is 1monster,1hero and 3 units.

I wonna take a slann for hero and 1 of the units is gonna be "sisters of the thorn" (battle line is not needed for campaigne).

So what do i take for normal units?
Was thinking 2x5guards or maybe 2x3krox? (Other options are welcome)

And what monster is best to take? Basti strong but does the trog support better with slann in play? And also think stegadon is a great monster!

Please tell me what you would take?

Honestly I think the slann is not the option to take. For hero I would take celestial hurricanum, sisters of the thorn is a good call, I would take 2 units of Kurnoth hunters and a unit of Kroxigor, gor the monster I still like basti, but Stegadon is a good option too.
I guess if you have already bought units, what do you have available, or what are you looking at buying.

My original build was going to be 3units guards and a slann. But when i learnd about the thorn sisters is wanted to go with 10guards+sisters+slann for the 2+save and mortal wounds on 4-5-6's all buffing the guards (mystic shield,and near the oldblood).
I have allmost every seraphon unit. Don't have any other order units becaus i like to stay in the same theme of dino's (converted the sisters to be more reptile).
What hero would you suggest i take?

Astrolith bearer would probably work better if you want to play a defensive line like this. Slann is nice for the extra spells, but I don’t think that it adds enough.

But then i wouldnt have any magic or dispell possibilty's :/ the astro would only give reroll failed hitts, wouldnt it be better to get a sunblood instead of an astro bearer then?

You have the sisters of thorn spell, so that would be boosted... is what I would have said if I hadn't reread the astrolith scroll, one hero is tough, maybe an amber or jade battlemage. Slann is powerful, but if it isn't going off of points maybe a Kroak. Mortal wounds, 4 spells, so you can get the shield plus some damage.
