AoS Help finishing army list to 2000 points

Hi everyone,

I'd like to finish collecting a 2000 point Seraphon only army list and I'd like it to be as competitive as possible. I got a few things for Christmas so I don't know if everything in here is great or not but hopefully I can make something good out of it. Here is what I'm working with:

Slaan
Skink Starpriest
3 x Saurus Guard
Eternity Warden
2 x Chameleon Skinks
1 unit Kroxigor
2 Salamanders and their Skink Handlers
Basildon
Eternal Starhost

Unless I'm mistaken that takes me to 1800 points So if this is competitive I'd like to get to 2000 but if there are some real improvements to be made I don't mind going past that mark as i'd like it to be fairly competitive. (I've always wanted to get a carnosaur!) ^^ I'd also like to maybe go into some torunaments eventually but as I'm an older guy I'd really like to stick with just Lizardmen--old school style.

Definitely pick up the start collecting. Build the carno, make one of the knights into a scar-vet on cold one, use the skink oracle as a priest or second starpriest, then pick up a sunblood, you can make some great lists with a bloodclaw starhost. I would also get some ripperdactyl/terradons, so you can make the shadowstrike starhost.
For a more competitive list I might drop the slann and get a starseer. And if/when you can, a second bastiladon. The key to competition is versatility and adaptability.

There's also the Thunderquake Set or whatever it's called. Includes Rippers, Two Stegs and a Carny, what do you think about that? Or are Stegs not good in the meta? That Engine of the Gods seems OP AF if you get a second turn...

I'll grab a Sunblood for sure, what a great model! Starseer does seem pretty good as does Lord Kroak... TBH I'd love to get one of everything but there is a limit on funds though I do have some Christmas money burning a whole in my pocket...

The Slaan isn't that good though eh? That's too bad I really like the model.
 
Slann is great support unit. Thunderquake is amazing, and I would definitely recommend that, engine with slann or kroak and starseer is an amazing combo, it's the only way I have ever pulle off the second turn. Kept some rerolls, and cast curse of fates on the engine, with a reroll amd a +1 to a 5 I managed to pull it off. And stegadon works pretty well too. So if you have the funds I would go that route. Big stompy monster lists are always just fun!
 
Shoot, I I think I'm going to have to do that then. You basically just talked me into buying what I wanted to buy from the start LOL.

I'll probably have to buy Lord Kroak later but with this list it should give me quite the variety to work with. I'll post an update later but if you have any other advice in the meantime or if you want to build a list with me, I'd love to anytime.

One of everything? you need to speak with @SlanntaClause he has loads of models and I think he was selling some off.

I think my collection has at least one of every model, I tell a lie I'm missing razardons and Oxytl
 
Yeah I'm selling a good lot of Warhammers nothing listed yet I have just about everything in varying stages of the hobby I'm UK based but if ur elsewhere and can afford postage we can work something out
 
Unfortunately I'm in Canada but if the postage is reasonable then I'd certainly be willing! Maybe some of the smaller models would be best. As Bowser said I could definitely use Lord Kroak and a Skink Starseer etc. If you let me know what you think and have and if you're interested, or if it's too much work to ship it or you think it'll be pricey then no worries.
 
I shipped to USA for I think around 10£ abit higher I think though so it'd be similar to Canada I imagine - I have like 4 lord Kroaks in my collection :P not all have palanquins though - I fear it may be a hassle to arrange and u might find an easier solution closer by - wanna buy 10 stegs ;)? My model collection is out of hand
 
Holy crap you have even more of a problem than me!

Does sound like it'd be easier to get closer at home, plus I like painting. You have a godlike (Old-One like?) avatar and name btw.
 
Could you be having any old school sallies that don't look horrible like the new aged ones maybe ?
Because I literally cannot stand the way our Salamanders look like now. They might be the ugliest GW models still on sale

Thanks avatar is made by @n810 and my other avatar is made by @Bowser but I haven't used that one in awhile :) Name was my own creation :P

I have limited numbers as well but they were hard for me to track down as well - I think I have 3 total? 2 based in a deep red paint I think and one wearing its paint away without a base - They need some work done if ur willing to take them on we can talk about it as much as I love them too and hunted them down I need to start shifting some models :P

let me know because I have 20-30 handlers also :P and some of the ugly new salamaders but you wouldn't want them :P
 
Yeah those salamanders are truly hideous but I don't know what else I can do at this point as I've just bought them! Lmao fml
