AoS Skink Priest With feathered cloak or with priestly trappings

All the skink priests I can find are sold as "skink priest with feathered cloak" and have no extra bits to remodel it into the alternative with priestly trappings. And this is even the case on the GW site itself. How exactly are you supposed to make one with priestly trappings and/or how is it supposed to look? Am I just supposed to glue a bunch of priestly looking stuff onto my priest and declare it's now totally no longer wearing its cloak?
 
mm, so basicly I just have to put them together from various bits and bobs. Ah well, I'l manage that :P

Yes, it's one of those get creative type of units! But there's always spare parts somewhere!
 
Shame of the Original model though, going to be a pain to remove the cloak. Ah well, I'l figure something out, plenty of leftover bits.
 
The carnesaur kit hss a skink in it. I use that one for my priest.
 
Lotta people repurpose the skink priest from the stegadon/engine of the gods kit to make one also
 
It is a great way to get a skink priest or starpriest from bits! I recommend it to all new players.
 
I remoddeled the one from the carnosaur, but got a priest from my parents fo Christmas (along some others) so was wondering what to do with it.
 
Honestly I would incorporate the feathers into Priestly trappings. Either by puting a cloak over top, or adding a few leaves, skulls, and daggers. You really don't need a lot to convert it, and as long as the opponent knows how you have it kitted out that is all that is really important.
 
There are a lot of pendants with feathers from various kits. I just put together ripperdactyls and remember there being a lot of fluff pieces that would make for good conversion pieces
 
I've just kitbashed a skink priest with a troglodon rider body head and arms, gave him an axe in one hand and staff in another plus some banner bits and shoulder pads from saurus kits :)
 
I used a normal r&f skink and some bits from the terradon box... Here is the unfinished result:

Just an easy conversion no green stuff or so involved (though it might look better with a small amount of gs here and there... Could need a belt so that the feathers don't look hanging on his hips so weirdly) the knife/dagger/blade in his right hand was made from the tg's extra bit...
