8th Ed. FIrst game in 3 yrs. Assistance requested.

The last time I visited this site was three years ago when I was restart my Lizard army (the first one went the way of the thief). Anyway, I bought a bunch of models, assembled them and then had to put them into storage never having had the chance to see them on a table top. Now I have that chance and I would like some thoughts on the list.

First off the models I have are:
56 Saurus
48 Skinks
10 Temple Guard
1 Bastiladon
3 Terridons
3 Razordons
8 Cold ones
1 Stegadon
1 Carnisaur
1 CO BSB
1 1 dismounted sarus character
2 Priests

Me and my opponent have agreed that Stand-ins are acceptable so I'll have a couple Salamanders in the list that I don't have the models for. I will be fighting O&G and can expect either Grimgor or a Wyvern, Arachnarok, a couple doom divers and a 100 block of Night Goblins with nets, plus other orc-y stuff.

Old blood- Armor of Destiny, Crown of Command, Luckstone, Great Weapon, Carnisaur, Bloodroar

Heroes: 434
Scar-Vet- BSB, Cold one, Dawnstone, Glittering Scales, Great Weapon
Priest- LVL 2, dispel scroll
Priest- lvl 2 Cube of Darkness

Core: 611
41 Saurus- Music, Standard, HW/Shield
2x 10 Skirmishers- jav/shield

Special: 540
Bastiladon- Vanilla
2x 3 Terridons
5 Cold ones- F/C

Rare: 334
Ancient- Sharpened Horns
Salamander- xtra dude

Unless I did my math wrong somewhere that is exactly 2,400 pts. Thoughts?

I'm thinking a denied flank deployment.
 
Sounds like a great plan,
oh don't forget you have to choose lores for your priest,
I suggest beast on one and heavens on the other one.
 
Thanks. We'll see how it goes. Lizards are allot different than my Skaven. Far fewer.

As for the priests that's what I was thinking, one with Heavens the other with Beasts.
 
Please do. I wont be over here concocting new plagues and lizard/rat hybrids.

So did I. Necrons were my intro to the warhammering world. I still remember when I first bought the Lizardmen book, read the fluff and realized my first army was creates to hunt down and destroy any thing made by the gods that created my second army.

...and the Old Ones "mysteriously" vanished.
