Actually I'm not against the game at all. I've never really been into Pokemon myself, but the game actually looks like a lot of fun. I just posted pictures and articles pertaining to Pokemon Go as I came upon them.

My opinion basically boils down to : if people play sensibly, by which I mean safely, then it's a pretty awesome game! I think the game concept/mechanic is going to be revolutionary and it will definitely be utilized by games in the future. That said, as with anything new, there is an adjustment period where proper etiquette (and in this case caution) must be learned. I'm also curious to see how much businesses will utilize the game to lure people to their locations.

I'm having a lot of fun following this story... I can only imagine how addictive the actual game would be.
its already bigger than any of the social apps !! and have you seen Nintendo's stock MAKING MONEY slanny

Nintendo did it in 24 hours

This is the disturbing part. A named but faceless corporation has artificially created crowds in arbitrary locations...with, and for the sake of, a game.

As a recovering rower and wannabe gym-bunny I get enough exercise. I need my eggs hatching dammit. Where's my Lapras already?!

Saying that I stumbled upon a cool art installation when hunting down some pokemon. My favourtie thing about his app is that it encourages you to get to know you're local area - it's almost a tourist guide in of itself, but with a focus on the niche.

The rule for Pokemon Go imo is my foundation rule: be considerate of yourself and others. Obviously don't go down a dark alley at night even if there is a Aerodactyl. Look when crossing roads. Don't scour private property for a Omistar. etc. As long as you're not stupid it should be fine.

Agreed... but unfortunately there is a significant segment of the population that are either unwilling or unable abide by this rule. Naturally, social media is there to capture and disseminate the resulting chaos. This is of course in no way the game's fault... virtual Darwinism perhaps?
