Skinks look about right, Orks just have terrible posture.

I think the skinks look a little too big in contrast with the Kroxigor. Either the skinks are oversized or the Kroxigor are too small, IMHO.

I don't know why but I don't like the way skinks look in the"modern art" of aos... They don't look like the small agile quickly moving light warriors they were... More like a pumped up bodybuilder version of what used to be a skink... But maybe that's what they do when chilling in their celestial realm... Going to the gym...

IMO skinks with muscles, should be limited to chiefs... I don't trust Slanns's memory.

On the flip side though I'm all for bulkier saurus. I've always thought the current models should be more muscular - something not quite as buff as orcs/orruks, but definitely bigger than humans.

I'm ok with the saurus... Though I think the proportion was better with the old models... The current ones look far too agile for their low initiative... But one could say it's more a problem with the rules.

First two are interesting battle scenes, but what is going on with the carnosaur heads/faces??








Same sorta problem with this one, something is really off with not just the mounts face, but with his rider. Visually interesting, but still a bit off...

Even though I don't like sigmarines, I thought this picture was ok. The temple guard look vicious. Only problem with this one is the background is too bright.



I have seen this one on the forum somewhere, I think its from the Skaven book. Probably my favorite of the bunch. Epic background ruins, two leaders detailed in shadows and preparing to fight to the death. Fantastic picture!

Beware the dreaded flowersaurus! It will dismember you with its rainbow colors!

I actually quite like the stylistic choice of the flower saurus, not your usual razordon art, but all of these have a very dream like quality to them, which may well be the point. As for:

reminds me of the overshading style from the 90's Xmen and GI Joe Cartoons. A technique that can be used to great effect with a black and white medium, but loses a lot when draped over colours.

It is a bit dreamlike, like something from a psychedelic hippie concert. All hail our yellow submarine overlords!

It looks like Blue with Reddish (or Orange) accents have become the canonical colors for skink and saurus.

The skinks have been 'embiggened' or 'fiercened' or something.

The saurus have grown new head plates or skull ridges. The words Sigmaskinks and Sigmasaurus may need to be coined.


The surviving Slann are "enhancing" their remembered minions.

Might be because I am rather new to Warhammer and it is just the only style I know, but I really like almost all of that artwork, especially the colors. Blue + Red looks cool.
