Warms my cold-blooded heart to see that the comp writers are coming to the realisation that I'm right and synergy is the name of the metagame. Here's hoping that some brave soul will make a comp system that takes that into account.

I'm a bit sad: I've used sometimes this comp system, and even if it could not grant a perfect balance between the two armies it certainly let you come up with a fair match...

I usually used the 1500 points format, and I was almost thinking to start a thread to ask all of you what army would you field with this and a couple of other limitations.
But well, I guess it's too late! :/

I legit hope they do because it increases the odds of somebody making a comp system I approve of that uses abilities and actual power to determine worth instead of stats. That would be amazing and I'd jump on it instantly because, despite appearances, I'm not against points systems.

I'd be sad to see one of the pool choice systems go, they seem more in line with how fluid AoS is supposed to be but SDK always seemed forced to me. Like they were trying to apply 8th Ed points to an entirely different game (which is I suppose what they were doing really). I do feel a little bad for the people who obviously put a lot of thought and effort into it but these times they are a changin.

Given how the game itself is in constant evolution, i suppose it's not simple at all, to build a comp system that balances the various options...

Am glad to see sdk go. Didn't work and was not with round numbers. Out of the comp systems sdk was the worst. Still, at least some people enjoyed it...
