If im using a Sunclaw battalion but have a few units that aren't a part of it do they get the extra attacks and rend on weps? Also is multiples of the same heroe cool like 2 sunbloods or star priests?

I am pretty sure it's just the units listed in he host. But as for multiple heroes you can definitely take duplicates. I took 2 eternity wardens last time I played. One for wounds on Kroak and the other for guard support, and wounds on Kroak! Two star priests as well!

Bowser's right, it's only the units that make up the battalion that get the bonuses, but you can have duplicate heroes.

Interestingly enough, the rules are you can have duplicates of any hero, named or not, unless the warscroll says you can only have one. But I've seen basically every warscroll, and only one hero says you cannot take duplicates. I wonder what makes them so special ...

Oh and side note, if your battalion's Sunblood (shit I love that name, Sunblood. It's so badass, it makes me sad that I play a defensive army with an Eternity Warden instead) dies, you cannot resummon it. If you summon a new Sunblood, it is for all intents and purposes a different hero, so it does not benefit from the battalion's rules. You get me?

I gotcha! Thanks guys. The eternity warden battalion is pretty sweet though. I order another box to temple guard so i could try it out. Sunblood is a really awesome name i finally got my battle tome that was the first page i went to to see if i could make that battalion lol.

Also what if i deploy 4 saurus war units and 2 sunbloods? Are they buffed or just the 3 and 1?

That makes sense, hadn't thought about it that way before, but makes sense. Well I need a new plan B!

Plan A: Don't let your Sunblood die. :p
Seriously though, be careful with him. He's an amazing general if you take his battalion, so protect the lizard.

Yeah he melts faces. My sunblood and his 3 units of wars and a star priest took on my friends wood elves army of 26 glade guard Aloroth and 8 or so sisters of the thorn. He didnt die till the last turn thankfully the re-rolls on missed its is so nice.

That's good to hear. Rather proud of our little sunny.

What about fielding multiple of the same Batallions? Can we do that?
I'd love to field two Thunderquake Hosts!

Everyone would hate you! Especially if you have a Slann there haha. I hope we can though!

Multiple Thunderquake Starhosts would be weaker than a more balanced army, but bugger me if they wouldn't be badass to watch. Gets my seal of approval.

Lol yeah it would be awesome to watch! I just realized im a box of terra/rippers and saurus knights away from being able to use the Starbeast Constellation! But then i think about how much stuff that is and think for a fair match it would take a while to finish the game without sudden death rules.

And to think just last Saturday I told somebody "nobody will have enough for the Starbeast Constellation."

Lol i just sneak by each battalion with the minimum of each thing to make the units. What if you summon all the units for a battalion does it work or do you have to deploy them from the get go?

You have to deploy them from the get-go, they must all be part of one united force so unless you could summon the whole battalion in one spell (which is impossible) then you can't summon it in. In addition, if say your Eternity Warden dies and you summon a replacement, that replacement will not be a part of your Eternal Starhost as it counts as a different Warden.
