Ataxa had to come back someday, stuck in the bubble for a long time before arriving into new... lands?
I have come up with new AoS rules for Ataxa, these are very rough draft and are still being worked on:
Move: 5" Save: 4+ Bravery: 10 Wounds: 7
Melee weapons:
Twin Blades: Range: 1" Attacks: 4 To hit: 3+ To wound: 3+
Fearesome Jaws: Range: 1" Attacks: 1 To hit: 4+ To wound: 3+

Abilities
Mutate: At the start of the game, Ataxa can choose one keyword from any battlescroll. Ataxa uses this keyword for the rest of the game along with the other keywords on his battlescroll.

Curse of Tzeentch: This curse affects the thoughts of Ataxa, some thoughts even affect how his body functions. At the start of each friendly hero phase; roll a dice and see the chart to see how he reacts to the curse.
1-2: Ataxa rambles out random words in anger before wandering off away from the enemy. Roll two dice and move that many inches away from enemy models that he is facing. If the inches go further than the battlefield, he is removed as a casualty.
3-4*: Ataxa's skin toughens and he stands more proud. This model ignores all enemy's rend characteristics.
5-6*: Ataxa gains re-rolls to his first failed re-roll attempts with his Twin Blades.

Keywords: Order, Daemon, Celestial, Seraphon, Saurus, Hero, Ataxa.

*Debating whether to swap 3-4 and 5-6, depends on what is better.
I also have a Command Ability for him but what do you think about him having one?

I thought I also write about my Swamp theme for a AoS army, saves writing an extra thread. I thought about teaming my Lizards with other models for the Jungle Swamp theme I'm doing. I got my Skinks, Chameleon S and a Troglodon at the moment. Trying to think of more models to place into the army, maybe some River Trolls. What do you think?

Tell me more about Ataxa. I'm not familiar with the name.

Trolls would be good, or maybe some adventuring empire humans. I'm doing a desert army and I've got a recovered necrosphinx with my LM ;D

Ataxa is a Saurus character I made a while ago, he got cursed by Tzeentch during a battle against Chaos. He used to be more angry and slightly crazy but his AoS version is slightly different. He has got a thread hiding in the Fluff section.

Swamp theme sounds like fun, maybe you could mix in some spider mounts from the Goblins ?

River trolls and fen beasts (if they're still a thing?) would be really cool for a swamp army. Treekin and Dryads with suitibly moist basing, some moss and mud would be great too.

Some swampy zombies, ghouls and skeletons perhaps?

Plaguebearers would look good too but I don't know how far you're willing to stretch things for thematic appearance.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I will take note when I pick out new models when I get the money.
I don't plan to stretch too far with the theme, just something that's that Swamp/ Jungle.

Okay, so far I got
A unit of Skinks
A unit of Chameleon Skinks
Troglodon
River Trolls.
Been considering either a unit of skeletons (VC) or Dryads.

Working out who should be a wizard, also thinking whether I should have a Command Ability leader but it would only benefit some models as I recall.

My suggestion is a treeman with some skinks on his shoulder... Like the hobbits in the movie... ;)
That is a great idea, many thanks for this! Treeman on the shopping list now. I got some Skink spares so I don't have to worry about buying Skinks.

Maybe a hydra/kharibdyss from the dark elf range? I've always thought their models were cool looking. :D

That is a good choice, already have a Hydra sitting around. I wonder how they are like now, my poor Hydra always got massacred by Chaos Warriors every time, before he even landed a single bite. He's the unlucky one.

I noticed the Treelord Ancient is a Wizard, so bonus that I don't have to take a Wizard now. So if I take the Hydra, that means three large monsters, two units and the last unit I'm still deciding, of course river trolls will be a option. Still debating on a leader.

I got my Treelord, from estimating while building (he is almost done) 2 skinks can fit on his shoulders/ back. Hiding among the branches.

Also salamander hunting packs might be cool! I think their swamp-dwellers according to the old book

Yep, just checked and they are :)
I think they may replace River Trolls, will have to buy another Salamander, I only got one unless I find some spares to put one together. So I have two fielded.

The Treelord is smaller than I imagined, the skinks are actually somehow a bit bigger than the head. Small tree. I may have to clip some shoulder-branches of so the two skinks sit better.

I think the Lord of the Rings Ents might be bigger..?

Not sure, I think there is one in the Workshop window where I go. When I get the chance, I will go and compare.

Still need to sort a leader out, may have to go with a Skink Chief.

I say for a leader use one of the skink priests that come from the EotG. They have the skull and dagger and look pretty swampish. I think the one with the priestly trappings has the same. You could also use the feathered priest and use some of the bits that have the shrunken head bundles on them. And if you dont do that, use the same bits and hang them on the tree. Like a deathly, swampy christmas tree!

Or a repurposed / renamed Tehenhuain model. That could make a suitable swampy chief or priest!

Instead of the heart of a killed enemy he could hold a fish or frog going to eat it like a Bismarck hering. :D :D

I will pull out all my priests and have a debate, many thanks for helping everyone. I do hope to get the basic army ready soon :)
