AoS units sold out?!

Lord Kroak and the Standard Bearer are both finecast and GW is done making finecast. So they probably ran out of those models in stock now and are either re-doing the molds for plastic or re-sculpting them for plastic. I'd expect to see this happen to Kroxigors as well before long.
The Skink Priest is metal only but since we have the new plastic Skink Priest, plus all the Priests available from Stegadons and Troglodons I'm guessing he's just gone.
Cold One's have needed a re-sculpt for years, so my guess is we're getting that. Temple Guard now show as No Longer Available too. Maybe a re-sculpt for them.
I doubt they're phasing out Lizardmen. That's all doom and gloom prophecy that's a bit silly honestly as they haven't phased out anything yet and it would have been the time to do that at the release of AOS. Everyone lost their mind at it's release anyway, getting rid of armies then would have caused little additional issue. We also have an appearance in a Black Library book already. GW, for what little everyone's opinion is of their knowledge of the market or ability to run a company is not totally stupid. They're number one in the market for a reason. They've planned this out for years and if they were getting rid of Lizardmen they would have not put us in anything.

What all this looks like to me is we're getting our re-boxing sooner than later for round bases as well as a few re-done units. Those are good things. Maybe even something totally new with our release. I'm excited that those models are no longer available. Hope the same happens to Salamanders and Razordons. New models all around!
 
I'd never seen the old skink priest in plastic. Just the new one with all the feathers.
 
As I said.. The only one available is the one with cloake of feathers... Hope I'll get on of feathered ones at the store cause like the model a lot.

That is precisely my thinking as well. I've also heard things about Skaven possibly getting some attention. If I were in charge my next release would be the Aelfs as they have a far more substantial following.

I think Undead will be first with the uncovering of a von Carstein and that the other 2 Grand Alliances still need something released. After that probably Aelfs yes and hopefully some news about the Free People

In the UK, Kroak is still available.
I have a weird feeling it could be a re-basing thing but who knows, GW seemed to have given Lizardmen a piece of the light.
If they are making new models, my dream of the Cold One's came true.
 
Been down the workshop, was able to grab the last box of Temple Guard. Had a little chat with the store manager, he says it's a good chance that it will be a re-base/ packaging.
So it will be either new models or the same with just round bases and new boxes.

just saw that there is actually no more priest to get in the online store. all three are stated as sold out...
 
you sure it isn't just because they are getting new bases?
the same pattern happened with all the other units that have been reboxed with different bases and/or a box design
 
That would be the nicest explanation for this... Rereleases with round bases will also be announced here! ;):P

I really do sense re-basing. New models for Lizardmen? Nah it's just more Stormcast models and Khorne models. I do hope for new models for Lizardmen though, I really do.

Salamanders seem to have come back, must of been out of stock but the wrong 'sold out' thing was put on.

I still see the new one and the one with feathered cloak under the Canadian site.
Also noticed that Lord Kroak went from Sold Out + No Longer Available yesterday to back in stock today.
