AoS Har Ganeth Executioners Help

Hi Guys played our first game of AOS only a couple of units each I played DE my son played LM.

We got into melee pretty early on and I scored a couple of 6 on my to hit run but I got a bit tangled up with the following, never gamed ever so all new to us.

Abilities
Severing Strike: If the hit roll for a Har
Ganeth Executioner is 6 or more, its
Executioner’s Draich inflicts 2 mortal
wounds on the target instead of its
normal Damage – no roll to wound
is necessary.


Draich master
The leader of this unit is a Draich Master.
A Draich Master makes 3 attacks rather
than 2.

So I interpreted the above as 3 attacks which 2 of them were 6 rolls so 4 mortal wounds and 1 roll to wound.

Have I got it right?

I think if you roll one dice of 6 that hit is multiplied into 2 mortal wounds - which is useless against single wound targets.

So yes according to What I wrote you'd theoretically do 4 mortal wounds, but only if you hit multiple wound targets (ogres for instance). I could be wrong ^^

actually, the rules states quite clearly that damage can get carried across models.
2 damage equals 2 dead single wound models.

Thats pretty beasty!

Cheers guys , i played it as that and wiped out four Saurus in one go

We really enjoyed the game and I'm putting the finishing touches to his Ogres so more games will be played.

I think were trying a game tonight as well

And I will be expanding my Executioners into 20 model units to try and gain 6 mortal wounds per turn, that is pretty game changing in my early view
