Gallery Dread Saurian

Thanks for the pics. Sounds like the base would need to be around 12" x 7" (keeping other GW dimensions of about .6 ratio) or 305mm x 185mm. Lord Marcus, do you 3d print? If you were make a base that big, what do you think the cost would run?
Somewhere between $10-15. Rough guesstimate.

Ok now I have to get one...my other half will kill me ;D

I’ve almost got mine done a few more details and I will post pics

Just bought a Dread and found this page. Some fantastic inspiring models, that are getting me pumped to make progress. Assembled yesterday but need some green putty. The hype is real.

Welcome!
Yeah, there's something special about the really huge models. :)

The detail is fantastic. I was clueless about colour schemes for quite some time before ordering, but after seeing this thread, I have some ideas.

I looked through your painting blog. Your paint scheme is similar to mine,( though mine has some light colours and aren't as well painted).

Great to hear another dread pic will be posted soon. Can’t wait to see it.

Here we are. The King of Lustria.

I've took a couple of picture with normal light, and a couple with flash, to highlight the differences with different lighting

this last one is clearly took when DS emerges from the jungle in the night, attracted by the light of campfires. Surprise!

My re-posed dread saurian. Its meant to look a bit more T-Rexy, also a bit of detail showing how I resculpted the knees

Excellent job on those knees buddy. And the pose really highlights the shear size of the model, along with the massive jaws.

Great stuff.

I also just noticed you got rid of the neck scrotum.

Ha! Yes the saggy chin had to go, mainly because of the change in body angle, but also I wasn't sure why it was there in the first place!

I'm really happy with the knees, I haven't done a huge amount of sculpting before, so this was mega daunting. Thanks for the compliments!
