8th Ed. Will this 2.5k Monster Mash List Work ?

Saurus Scar Vet - BSB on Cold one w/ armour of destiny

Skink Priest lvl 2 w/ Dispel scroll

Skink Priest lvl 2 w/ Cube of darkness

56 skink Cohorts with 7 Kroxigors

3 x Bastiladons
2 x Stegadons
1 Stedagon Ancient
3 Salamander Hunting Packs


The Plan ? To have the skink cohort in horde formation steadfast with the BSB while the other monsters combo charge other units.

Prior to combat, I will hopefully soften up their ranks with the Bastiladons beams and the salamander hunting packs.

NEVER tried a monster mash list. Am I even close?

My greatest successes with Monster Mash lists come from having a Slann with lore of Life for the healing. Apotheosis is now an alternative as well.

I haven't tried it myself yet, but I think Tet should go well with a Monster Mash list. The extra vanguard move(s) help the slower Bastiladons keep up with the faster with faster dinosaurs (or help your flyers get a head start on war machine hunting).

If you're running a monster mash list i would suggest using some kind of warmachine hunter like chamos or terradon/rippers or both. Otherwise the monster will unfortunately die quickly against cannons.

Also in 2.5k i suggest using an oldblood instead of the scar-vet, or maybe both.
