8th Ed. What to do with 1250 pts.....

It's been a long time since i played with the lizzies, but with 8th edition i thought i'd give it another go.....

Soon i wil be playing my first game vs Tomb kings and/or Ogres and i'm trying to build a decent 1250 pts list, but that's not easy for me anymore.
I hope you can give me some feedback on my lists....

List one:
Slann
- rumination
- bsb

24 SW
-FC

10 Skink skirmishers

16 TG
-FC

2x5 chameleon skinks

2x1 salamander (with extra handler)

This is basicly a watered down version of my 2500 pts list, but i'm not sure it's even good in a 1250 pts game.

List 2:
Scar-vet
-ench. Shield
-LA
-SOM

23 SW
- FC

12 skink skirmishers

2x stegadon

2x5 chameleon skinks

2x1 salamander (with extra handler)

List two is a more monster heavy, combat orientated list.

But again.....it's been a long time since a build a list or even played a game, so please give me feedback so i can figure out a decent list......

I'm in the same boat on the 1250 game. Tough number to build.
At first I didn't think I could afford a slann but looks like I can though eh

In list two you want some caster of some sort, if for no other reason then to throw your dice at something. Lvl 1 priest with plaque for 2 spells etc.

A Slann in 1250 is a little much, you have a better use of points elsewhere imo. In 1250 I like tooling up a Old blood and watching him bop till he drops. A skink priest can really pack a punch too, (level 2 plaque of tepok) If you're lucky grabbing uranons comet and CHAIN LIGHTNING!!!! makes him a real contender

Plus, that way you can fit loads more saurus in, and they really are good enough infantry to take on almost anyone else, even chaos warriors.

Just try look for cheaper alternatives, also, In lower points the emphasis is less on magic and more on shooting and combat, break those mofo's and run em' down!
