8th Ed. Watchtower and Tournament List Building

Hi Guys,

I just wanted to get the general consensus on list building for tournaments with scenario's. I'm a fan of my Saurus and love to field 2 big blocks. Unfortunately, the next tournament is including watchtower which means if I want to deploy in the first turn, I could put a unit of 20 or less core to place in the tower. I'm not particularly comfortable putting skink skirmishers in there

I understand you don't have to deploy there but If I don't, my opponent will just place there deathstar in front and walk into the tower before me as I won't get first turn.

Does anyone else tailor there list for the book scenario's or am I worrying about nothing?

I'm talking from a little experience has i've had to face 20 Frenzy Chaos Warriors with additional hand weapons and it was not pretty.

Anyone have any tactics? I know salamanders are a great one to re-roll missed wounds and cause panic.

You have two choices. One is to take a unit of 19 saurus warriors with a scarvet. That way, you can put them in the watch tower. The other is a unit of skinks (with or without Kroxigors). Remember that the unit in the tower is always stubborn.
