8th Ed. Turney 1000 pt list, NEED HELP!!

ok i played 2000 pt turney with lizards they worked wonderfull and i took 3rd place i could taken the first but i rolled the god dammed 1 on the 2+ protection from miscast and my slann went to the chaos realm...

so basicaly now i want to take that 1st place in the next turney of 1000 pt game.
problem is that i cant take slann and i dont know how to play lizards without him....

so heres my list, please coment and make it better:

lord:
oldblood + armour (heavy armour 4+ward save) it has 50 more points what is the best weapon?

Rare:
min 2 salamanders
max 3 salamanders

special:
chameleon skinks becouse i love them and i won few games becouse of them

core:
saurus horde?

please help me to equip oldblood and with army composition becouse i realy have no exp in small games...

Right,

1. Take Ogre Blade and Luckstone on the old-blood
2. 2x1 salamanders
3. 6 Chameleon Skinks
4. 1x30 saurus w/ spears Musician, Standard Bearer, Champion
5. 1x10 skink skirmishers

That comes too 1002 points i hope this helps.
