8th Ed. tips and help wanted tweaking my 2500 pts list....

This is my current 2500 pts list. Please give me feedback how to make the build stronger and better.

Owkey, here we go....

Characters

Slann:
* general
* bsb
-mystery
-rumination
-becalming

Skinks priest.
* lvl 1
* EOTG

Core:

2 x 24 SW
* hw/shield
* full command

special:

1 x 20 TG
* full command
* iron curse icon
* banner (still have to decide what to take......)

1 Stegadon

1x 3 terradon riders

2 x 5 Chameleon skinks

Rare:

1 x 2 sallies with extra handler
1 x 1sallie with extra handler.


The plan is to take lore of life or lore of light....depends on my mood
Sometimes i like to buff our lizzies strenghts (tougness, etc...), i'm running life. (the one i prefer atm) When i want to give my lizzies something they don't have (I10 WS 10) i'm running light....

The plan is to give my opponent a tough army to steal points from (Most things in this list are not easy to kill.) and grind my way through there troops...supported by heavy magic!

Well that's about it......let the shooting begin!

Hi,

I like your army list but there are a few things that I would change and the only reason for this is that the armies that I usually play are empire and dwarfs and they have a lot of artillery and so I always take 2 stegies becuase one never lasts past a turn and all of the artillery will be aimed at that. Also I would make the skink a lvl 2 yes I agree more points but it is worth it I think.

Also I would take a scar vet, on a cold one if you can. They are very good at running around units and taking out characters or war machines.

Is 24 Saurus enough to fill out your 25% core requirement?
I think you'll need another block or a unit of Skrox

It does say 2 x 24 SW, i assume that means 48 SW total.

Also i'd keep all 3 sallies seperate, better flexibility.

You can only have 2 of each rare in a game under 3000 points which is why it's a unit of 2 and 1.

i thought that was for armys UP TO 2000 points, then 0-3 for armys UP TO 3000 points?

In 8th ed rules its percentage based. So they can/should all be run solo. From the FAQ I'm pretty sure if they fire as a unit you roll a arty dice for each sally and if either misfire your boned

What happens if a Razordon stands and shoots and both artillery
dice roll a misfire? Are 2D3 Skinks eaten? And what happens if only
one artillery dice rolls a misfire? Are D3 Skinks eaten and then fire a
number of shots given by the other dice? (p57)
A. If you roll a misfire on either dice, no shots are fired and the
unit loses D3 Skinks. If both roll a misfire, no shots are fired
and the unit loses 2D3 Skinks instead.

you do but being a unit they must target the same thing. hence why i keep them seperate.

Up to 3 of the same special choice.
Up to 2 of the same rare choice.

Up to 6 of the same special choice.
Up to 4 of the same rare choice.

Any army must field:

Atleast one character.
Atleast 3 deffirent units.

.. Aswell as keeping within the percentage point alowance for each unit-category (Not listing those again, this has been done enough xD)


- This is why the OP can't run salamanders as 3 units. Hence running 1x2 and 1x1. Just thought i might clear things out, no harm ment at all
