AoS Thunder Lizard 1000pts?

Just started Age of Sigma and decided to collect Seraphon, the local store plays at 1000pts, so I was wondering what people thought about my Thunder Lizard list and if it would work, as I can't test the models till after lockdown

Leaders:
-Saurus Oldblood on Carnosaur (250)
+General (Prime Warbeast)
+Artefact of power (Fusil of Conflagration)
-Slann Starmaster (260)

Behemouth:
-Bastiladon (220)
+Solar Engine

Battline:
-Saurus Guard (100)
-Saurus Knights (100)
+Celestite Warspear

Malign Sorcery:
-Bound Geminids of Uhl-Gysh (70)
(was thinking of have a unit of skinks[boltspitters] instead of this but don't know which would be more useful)

i would switch out the gaurd for more knights and keep geminids it's one of the best things we have

I do like the knights, but won't this leave the slann and the bastiladon open to enemy deepstriking units?

not many armies can field deep strike units that can take on a bastiladon at 10000 points and you need the few bodies you do have to be contesting objectives

Thanks for the help, I'll pick a couple more knights up, I'm used to 40k where deepstriking is more of a problem

I think you are sinking too many points into a Slann at 1.000 pts. Would probably switch him + Guards for a Skink Priest + Starseer and either more Saurus/Skinks.

Dont recall if an Oldblood is better than a Scar-vet.

honestly at 1k points drop the geminids and upgrade that slann to kroak., you will lose the secondary effects, but your mortal wound output will go up, and there's not many armies that can deal with him at 1k. plunk him and the guards on an objective and nuke whatever gets too close lol

Kroak + Guards is 420 pts, almost half of the army and for what gain? Without Balewind, Astrolith or another Skink Wizard/Oracle his 10” range is kinda whatever. You wont hit anything until the turn after your Kroak has been charged. Would rather use +1 attack on the jaws or the +1 run/charge.

I have played quite some games an a 2/3 table with 1000 points (meeting engagement) and won a lot of them with Kroak + Astrolith he is almost unkillable at 1000 points and 16" is enough on a small table.

So would try to fit them both.

thunder lizard doesn't really seem worth it at 1000 points. its all about behemoths but behemoths cost you a lot of points. you could go all in and simply use cheap skinks to fill out battline. Trying to go for both the slann and old blood for a 1000 point game seems a bit much.
for thunder lizards i would maybe try:
scar vet on carnosaur
skink starpriest
skink starseer
10 saurus knights
10 skinks
bastiladon
(50 points for a CP or spell)
