Hi All for those who dont know me ive only been playing lizardmen for about 6 months and had a thread where i built and painted my 1500 point army in 2 weeks. The time has now come to add another 500 points to the army and one option im playing with is a skink chief on terradon using ptolos shield and dagger of sotek, this would give him a 1+ as vs shooting and killing blow. i intend to use him to support my main saurus blocks by adding a rear charge or to charge in and try and pick off a character of my opponents. Anyone know if this build is any good or would i be better with something else. The other thing im adding to my list is an ancient stegadon just for how cool they look,

dagger of sotek is very very very bad varey bad on average you get 1,5 hits meaning that you need 4 rounds to be sure 3 should be enough but at that point your T3 skink is toast
and for him in general i dont think you should use him as a go in the back and kill chars character more like a war machine hunter

you were right he was appauling worst my lizards have ever performed. slann rolled a 1 on cupped hands and zipped off to the realm of chaos on turn 2, 20 saurus lost to a unit of 30 night goblins and were run down when they ran away. salamander took a doom diver in face and died and my skrox unit ran from a unit of 25 goblin spearmen. 2 krox got 1 hit and failed to wound on a 2. Not a good night.
