Gonna have a 2000 pts game against a WE friend and wanna play something else than "I Win"-Life

So wanna try shadow with a lone Slann, kinda hard to achive in 2000 pts but I've had a go at it. The list still needs quite alot of tweeking, 141 pts left to play around with. Still need a BSB in there some how. Giving a BSB to my Skink Chief is kinda out of the question, so it's either the Slann or a Scar-vet that runs around alone. A priest would be good too. Maybe drop the stegadon perhaps?

My friend usually goes with 2 archer blocks of 20 hanging out in the back of his deployment zone. He rarely moves them, except backwards that is. So my idea was to use steed of shadow and fly the Ancient Stegadon behind his archers to wreck some havoc (I hope).

But as I said it's a friendly game and realy wanna play something out side the "life"-box

i cant really see anything out of the ordinary here.. except that teh slann has shadow instead of life, and goes on his own, so ppl can shoot him in the face.

i can never remember the names for the slann abilities, so maybe he already has one of those "i wont die to shooting" abilities, but else wise i would pick up one of those.

Yeah, I looked at the list and went "where does the Slann go", but on his own, with Consciousness, he should be reasonably okay.

Hail of doom arrow is magical, so is the shooting from treemen and any magical missiles and attacks from forest spirits. So keep him safe.

For your BSB, you could drop 1 saurus warrior, and add a scar vet. Great weapon, BSB, Venom of the Firefly frog and Glyph necklace can make a good solid character without being too horribly expensive. Light armor if you can find the extra couple points too. though I like putting him on a cold one for that extra save. That would be two saurus gone leaving you 10 points-ish over. You could drop the unit standard since the BSB would count his maybe?

Hmm. I always thought that the Steed of Shadows was on foot only, but I guess they changed it in 8th. That's potentially nasty.
