7th Ed. Tetto'eko

I was wondering what your thoughts are on including Tetto'eko in a 1k list (playing against dark elves). I know hes expensive, but he does bring useful special abilities and items.

er... the rest of your army could be dead before he shows up from the board edge, and he'd take up a third of the points in your army... so I would not suggest him. Perhaps at 2250 points.

Tetto'eko* is pretty nice, thou he should really be a L.3 wizard if you look at his background. The main reason for taking him is probably the free redeployment rule. So use that to your full advantage.

*Why do all the LM characters have such stupid names?

I would still say go with some generic heroes instead of him though.

I think Tetts is a pretty damn good character but yes he is expensive,i wouldnt have him in such a small army...maybe squeeze him into a 1500 but still gonna be tight i think

That's the problem with most LM special characters, they are pretty good but they are also too expensive.

Yeah, Tetto'eko costs wayyy too much to be in a 1500 point game. He's only 20 points less than a naked Slann...

On the other hand, modeling Tetto'eko would be pretty fun. All you would need is a skink priest and something that had a small floating thing for him to stand on, I'm thinking the chaos sorcerer on the floating disk. He could even have a small toad in place of the Slann's skink attendant.

You could put him in a unit of skinks and model them all to look like temple guard... heck, you could even model a brave to look like Chakax!

Of course, I don't know if you'd ever field him this way.... but it would be a pretty cool unit to put together.

I was toying with the idea for awhile and I think my best was to start with the old school Slann's palanquin and use the slann's feet as Tettos

I´d rather go with generic characters also at 1k games since it takes bit too much points and at that level you dont want to spend too much on characters anyway IMO.

About the names heheh, if you would be from Finland like my self, K´s and double consonants in the middle and all that wouldn´t be too weird

I've been toying with the idea of converting him myself, though I'm not going for the super-serious style. As he's a special character I'm aming for a floating palanquin, with a parasol and a deckchair to make him really special ^^
Though I'm probably going to scratchbuild the palanquin. And I have no real idea of how to make the character to lie down in a chair, and still looking good

I'll see if it ever becomes reallity...

A note on the names. I've always found the skink names to be reather hillarious. Itzi-Bitzi, Tehenhauin, Inxi-huinci and Tiktaq'to (or however the spell their names.
But the mounts have some rather good names as well. Has anyone else noticed the names of Krog-gar, Mazdamundi and Tiktaq'to´s mounts?^^
