Could be it's not as prevelant in wargames (or specificly in AoS), I'm just very used to seeing those 1-trick ponies that rely on abusing 1 particular advantage or flaw in the rules like excessivly rewarding suicidal/idiotic plays. And it just tends to ruin games, which is just a shame. Especially as it's often deemed "interesting" gameplay as it does tend to be satisfying to pull off, they just tend to ignore that it's horrific to be on the recieving end 9 out of 10 times... Also, it tends to push games in a certain direction as it creates an arms race for who can abuse the rule best, which isn't enjoyable either..I 've only lost once against such player and my dices just loved rolling 1s. This is why it is great the way it is in my opinion. If you are a person that does not want to think, you are going down![]()
I'd like it to at least be more difficult to fall behind. With only a maximum of 5 turns a match can be decided in 2 or 3.Which is just too quick. Be it by allowing you to steal points, wipe out the enemy or just making a match last longer it needs something.Scenario almost always win (usually with a wipe out you win because there's no opposition on objectives)
BUT if you see that you are falling behind with points and you cannot recover from it (possible, with scenarios as "three places of power"), at least you should have the possibility to win by wiping out the opponent.
