8th Ed. Stegadon Impact Hit clarification...

I keep hearing references to 2d6+1 impact hits but i cant find anything to back that up. I thought it was just d6+1 impact hits. do they really get the 2d6?!?!?!?!

Normal stegadons get d6
a skink chief with the stegadon warspear gets 2d6

yes defintely especially with the d6 impact hits monsters get now anyway thats the same as getting 3d6 plus one which is good

again. allways strike LAST. that means teh enemy has a chance to chop up your stegadon before you get the thunderstop dice you want to be carefull with what you charge.

Does lifebloom affect the mount? it just says a friendly model within 12"

you can indeed heal it with lifebloom

any model within 12". that includes razordons, sallies, ancinet setgs, stegs, kroxigor, swarms, and characters of all shapes and sizes

nope, you have regrowth for that, you can just heal wounds off multi wound models

Taken as a Character mount, a template weapon (Cannon, eeeew) will automaticly hit both your chief and the steg. then those saves aren't worth a lot. I prefer to run Stegadons without a character due to this.

- But yes, unless you're charging chaos knight in the front, or a big monster/high str char, chances are you get that thunderstomp off. But if you don't take caution to it, you're probably going to.... not. hehe.
