8th Ed. Standard Banners

So with the arrival of 8th and all new common magic items, what do you think the best magic banners to take are? Should we ignore the army book ones like the Sun Standard and go for the new 8th magic banners or are our originals still as good as the rest?

I ask because I'm trying to equip my Slann BSB and TG units with standards (fan of the double banner unit) but can't seem to make my mind up. Is doubling up worth it anymore?

What is your opinion of our banners (for example Sun Standard or Plaque of Dominion) in 8th and also the new ones?

If you ignore the sun standard then you need a clip round the ear because it is by far one of the BEST banners going. With the volley fire special rule coming into play you are faced with an awful lot more shooting than ever before so that -1 and -2 to shooting is a MUST HAVE!

Also, it's nice to be able to charge your movement plus 3D6.

Stupidity banner and fear banner aren't that great though.

Razor Standard (armour piercing) making the TG at -3 armour save could prove useful or there's always the Warbanner at 25 points

Eagleblaze has it. The 'bog-standard' Lizardmen banners are mostly worth their weight in whatever.
I for instance face O&G, Empire and Chaos. So charging 3d6 is great due to it being more likely for me to win combat, or not lose it should I get the charge bonus. Lizards are mostly striking last, remember that.
For the same reason the Sun standard is also one of those banners I consider. Although less so as missile fire tend to target my Saurus/Skinks/whatever.

Once again, 3d6 charge is great, especially with Swiftstride.
