8th Ed. Stacking question

Quick question. If I equip an old blood with Glittering Scales and the Aura of Quetzl does he get a -2 hit modifier in hand to hand combat. I could not find anything in the rule book saying they cannot stack. And if they do stack, how does it work if the opponent needs a 5 to hit him? Do the need a 7 like shooting?

I believe both only work in close combat, don't have my books in front of me but I'm pretty sure. But yes it would be -2, so if they would normally need 3's to hit it would be 5's to hit. If they would normally need 4's it would become 6's.

A 6 is always a hit/wound in CC. You can only get 7's in shooting.

Use it with the fencers blades and they will almost always need 6s to hit. Excellent combo!
